I’m not sure what I want. What I know is Amazon is getting their streaming apps rolled out and the ability to advertise and cross sell through them.

Walmart is just abysmal at getting ANY sticky products like apps to their kajillion customers so they aren’t winning against Amazon and I think they can.

I’m not saying I think they need to get into movie production but they need SOMETHING that gets people needing their app

Walmart can’t even get shopping carts that work.

What makes you think they could be successful in the tech game?

It’s a giant dollar store. That’s it.

And the big bear finally steps into the limelight. Where you been these last few weeks? Funny you guys only show up on bad news. So glad you brought so much insight with your comment. Back to Walmart. They are starting to open up Medical clinics in many of their supercenters. There's one going in down the road from us. Not that i would ever use one but they are trying new things.

Don’t understand the P/E and forward P/E being relatively rich for a company that is ultimately still just a retailer.

Walmart was pushing Walmart+ or whatever the name of their Prime rip-off is for the past year or so, but Walmart+ will never be as good as Prime. That drew it some extra forward P/E

They could actually corner the market with Duck Dynasty, the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, 16 & Pregnant, etc.

I thought people here had functioning brains and didn’t need me to spell out everything but what the hell, you might need some help.

Inflation is too high so consumers are dialing back their Walmart spending (and everything else).

Anyone bullish here is honesty hiding a mental disorder.

We are going down down down.

Sounds like the canary they brought into the mine just died.

Apple announces earnings this week (along with 30 percent of the S & P).

Walmart & Apple are probably the two primary canaries in the coal mine.

The remainder of this week could get wild & wooly when you also add in fed rate hike, inflation report, consumer confidence report, gdp report.

I’d pay for an NFL Redzone type channel of live Walmart security cameras showing fights and trashy people in Walmarts across the country

They owned Vudu but sold it.

So they had a platform but got rid of it.

I bet it did. And despite what the other poster said, interesting that that long put trade was a SOLID strike down the middle. Hmm…

It would probably be a big seller. Didn’t there used to be a “People of Walmart” website or something like that?

Hahaha… touché sir. You and Walmart management see some kind of path here. I didnt know what Walmart+ is till now but $12 for a show or two I might enjoy plus free grocery delivery sounds like some serious value. Funding streaming and original content/sub numbers vs all the other juggernauts doing the same has always seemed like a losing battle to me for $12 subs that people can abandon immediately. Clearly it isn’t sustainable because Disney ups their sub prices as soon as they get the top subscriber numbers. This is just my opinion from a very limited look at this space as an investment so if I’m wrong please correct me.

Give me those Walmart originals. I’m in, and possibly in for Walmart+ now- I actually canceled prime because we might be in the minority of people that don’t order constantly but I’d get my money out of grocery delivery. Seems like that would bite them hard very quickly in expenses. I’ll defer to you though, you got your hand on the Walmart pulse :D

Meh, ad version...

Only reason I have walmart + is thanks to Amex Plat. Never bought anything, but do use the 10 cents off gas at Murphy on the reg.
