Might be able to catch this one on the upswing. I have been caught holding a bag at $14.40. It closed $13.80 today. Almost up $3 for the week.
Give you some info, they released the weighted cargo average. For Q2 their average was $6.45 mmbtu vs $3.82 for Q1. Exported same amount of cargoes.
NG markets have swung high the past week, which means high profits should extend to Q3. VG feasts on the spot market.
CP2 first gas will be mid 2027. Lots of momentum to get back to $20 by end of year. Maybe earlier if market likes the Q2 earnings.

It just can’t seem to get there. Cause man, those Jan 2027 $20 VG calls do look tasty.

I hate this one it just because it moves so wildly. I need another good move down to catch it again. Been using it as an Iran hedge but I like it long term

Earning blow out will be Tuesday. They have most uncontracted cargoes and Europe is headed for a hard winter, combined with LNG shortage.
If it dips on Monday anywhere near 13, I’d get in. It’s due for $15 later this week on pending strong guidance through end of year.
Could be easy 15-20%.
If they announce arbitration settlement, it will go to $20.

My experience has been that whenever it breaks $14 it’s time to start selling and whenever it dips below $12 it’s time to start buying.
They’re still waiting for penalty amount from the first arbitration, with two more that remain unresolved. It’s still a coin toss predicting the share price in a year. Could be $20, might be $7.

Yes but with as much premium as they are making on the spot market, they could pay that all cash and settle out pretty easily.
