Be careful.

Drone surveillance for construction and marine applications is starting to explode.

They aren't just capturing the kid on a surfboard

Well did you actually make the trade or not? It's easy to make claims on the Internet. It's another to actually have the stones to pull the trigger.

Is there a way to look at historical option prices? I would like to see how much I would have made had I held my puts this long

I like my go pro I just think it was overpriced and isn't anything special.

I'd like to know of better 720 - 1080 60 FPS cameras that are near indestructible and water proof that are much less.

Hell my wifes Iphone is 4X's as much and breaks almost instantly.

What makes it a POS? And can you name 5 alternatives since there is a million?

You seem emotional about this for some reason.

Why? It's still wildly overvalued. It's a niche product that is not even desirable to upgrade if you're in that niche. Growth has stopped. I think last quarter was -500% or so?

The company was valued as if it was the new Apple and all they've produced is a one hit wonder. Short away IMO.

And don't get me wrong, I own one, and it's a cool toy, but I couldn't see myself buying another.

Sjcam is way better. I bought both at the same time, sj cam was a 1/3rd of the price. I sent the gopro back, it totally sucked. The pictures were the same, but the gopro didnt have a lcd on it to view pictures.

The disaster continues.

This is going to single digits real fast. They've now delayed their Karma ( ) - their "drone camera". Woodman is a total joke of a CEO.

The Drone Won't Save GoPro: Karma Was Just Delayed

quote:

GoPro continues to spiral into irrelevancy. Can even a drone save it?

Action camera maker GoPro released first quarter 2016 earnings on Thursday afternoon, and the numbers aren’t pretty. Last year at the same time the company posted adjusted revenue of over $363 million and a profit. This year, not so much.

Revenue came in at only $184 million with a loss of $0.63 per share. But good for lowered expectations, because that does represent a solid beat over $169 million, Wall Street’s expectations for GoPro’s sales. As such, shares went up as much as 10% in after hours trading before falling again 5% below Thursday’s close.

Even worse, GoPro was expected to try to boost sales with by releasing a new consumer drone product in the first half of 2016. Now it’s delayed until the holiday season. “As late as this week, we believed Karma’s launch was on schedule,” CEO Nick Woodman said on a call with analysts. If and when that comes out, the company will still need to make up a lot of ground on market leader DJI.

GoPro has been troubled for quite some time, falling steadily since the stock’s peak in the fall of 2014. Once one of the hottest consumer electronics products, GoPro’s Hero cameras have seen declining sales as would-be customers opt to take photos with their smartphones instead.

In February, GoPro paid $105 million for two mobile video editing startups Replay and Slice. “Video editing has been a big deal and a challenge not just for GoPro but for every company involved in this business,” he told FORBES at the time. “It’s not an easy developmental hurdle and there have been constraints in mobile.”

I predict this Karma will be a total bust.
