Noticing Disney is at a 52 week low, a lot of talk on the prospects of this. Anyone pick some up?

Long term holding of mine. 125 shares @ $140. I think earnings will be good. They got lumped in with Netflix and their bad quarter but Disney is so much more than streaming. Covid lows were $79. This is a good value here IMO

I got in this morning at 100 shares at $109. I feel like you, way too good of a long term value to not pick up.

This will be one of the first times I avoid a stock solely based on ideals..

But Disney with all of their gender neutral propaganda has be extremely disinterested in their product.

Even if I miss out on a little rally, I’m happy to avoid.

Exactly.

Dis executives are more interested in making sure they push a narrative that's very unpopular than just sticking to quality entertainment.

That's poor business. You are literally telling investors that5 your priority is indoctrination and not entertainment. I will not invest due to that alone!

I could go through the numbers if needs be, but less than 1% of the population even identifies as trans and your executives are saying they don't care and will push it.

That's not entertainment.

grooming appears to be bad for business even in a Brandon era.

Long term hold, yes I agree. Tomorrow could be rough though.

I am holding 72 shares with average cost of $91. I'm not selling any time soon because my cost basis is at a level I'm comfortable with. However, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a dip tomorrow into the mid-to-high 90's.

As a long-term investor I do think this is just a temporary head wind.

I don't like it.

Other than Mando the Star Wars franchise is tapped out.

Marvel will never capture lightning in a bottle again like they did with the Avengers.

All of the unnecessary political crap. I don't see the same support for their movies with all of the woke stuff.

I guess their parks will always attract visitors but for the cost there are other alternatives.

And they fired a popular actress over her views.

This is true.

People have had it

I know a travel agent for them. People are canceling trips. Does that mean it will make a dent? No idea. But people are starting to demand all of this to stop.

Not to go into politics much, but a whole board was just voted out in a dem leaning area because of the same things Dis came out in support of.

That will carry over.

They will get rid of Bob Chapek if this market cap destruction continues. But like I said, its a long term position for me.

Y'all are focusing in on just a small portion of the Disney empire. I'll just leave this here. Disney is a monster and will continue to succeed in the long term.

Their entertainment IP dwarfs all other entities combined.

Children/families will never stop vacationing at Disney parks.

The woke shite will pass.

It's a fad. All fads pass. This one may last longer than any of us want it to, but assuredly, eventually it will pass.

Neither are fads. It's ideology. The harder DIS pushes this, the harder people are going to push back.

Maybe, but their money is made by the emotions of children and parents. Kids don’t care about politics, and parents a want to bring their kids to the Disney they remembered, whether it still exist or not.

I think Disney will be fine. Like others said, this will pass.
