Which one Feds or State?
I filed my Federal in late February and got my money in less that 7 days. Simple return, not itemized just wages, and IRA 1099’s.
For LA state, I filed early March, and still waiting. I checked their brand new website yesterday and it said that my return was in the final state of review as of last week and would be sent within 14 days of the last review.
Why does LA take so long to process a refund especially when you have the forms electronically filed.

Have you checked the IRS Website? I filed on 2/12 and I got my refund within a month. I don't have a difficult return, but I do itemize. I also had it sent directly to my bank account.

State, federal or both? State is usually slow, but federal doesn’t typically take 45 days when filed electronically.

I filed early Feb, very basic return, got a letter in the mail that there are delays getting refunds

I have always thought it was because the revenue department needed a few more dollars to pay out before cutting the checks or sending the deposit.
Imagine if the lottery or retirement systems operated like that.

They are waiting for me to pay all the taxes I owe from all the money I made this year so they can pay you guys. Still got over a month before I have to pay them so don’t be expecting those checks to soon boys and girls
