How?

Idk probably deposit money with your broker and then hit buy on the assets you want to buy.

Are you 12?

Open an account, fund said account with cash, buy the asset you desire.

Calm down skippy. It’s been a long time since I was in a position to invest. Not everyone is a finance bro.

Open a Schwab account and put money in VOO. Continue doing this until you’re rich

Sure.....

Be sure to post a screenshot of that crystal ball so the billion or so people wanting to get in at the bottom will know when to pounce.

As a beginning, do you have a brokerage account? If not, I would open one with Fidelity or Schwab.

Apart from a brokerage account, I would consider putting some money in a Roth IRA if you haven't started one already.

The simple suggestion is to invest in "VT and chill." But we could make some more specific suggestions based on your age and goals.

It takes all of 5 minutes to open a brokerage account online. As suggested, Fidelity or Schwab are good options.

You link it to your checking account, then add money to the brokerage account, it make take a day or two to show up in your brokerage account but then you're set to buy some stocks.

Do you have a lot of money? Can you afford to lose it? If not, you should invest regularly and broadly, not try to time the market or pick individual stocks that you don’t fundamentally understand.

Fake business is so dependent on the stock market continually going up that if this isn’t a short reset lasting less than a week things will get much worse. You should know by Wednesday

I expect the circuit breakers to be pulled and interest cuts being more aggressive

Our entire economy is built on fake business. We don’t make anything and they don’t even bother to fix the roads because who needs roads when we just move fake money around on the internet and call it an economy

Be patient & measured.
This isn't just a dip, this is a Global Meltdown.
Japan Nikkei was down 12.4%.
Taiwan had worst day in 57 years.
This could still have a long way to go.
