Have they gotten out or are they holding

Gamblers eventually lose at the casino.
Everyone laughs at buy and hold investors that push low cost passive index. But history has shown it's the only real path

he gets out. gives some weird reason every time. goes against his thesis of holding stock short to medium term.

sounds like a venue to create exit liquidity.

Everyone looks like a genius during a bull market. The bear market returns is what separates winners from losers.

Yes he’s terrible to follow. He preaches all this junk that he doesn’t actually follow himself. There’s definitely been some good things I learned from him though. His entire dealing with FIVN made me realize he was a fraud, even though he made the wrong move in hindsight.

Long story shortish.
FIVN was pick I decided to follow him on. I spent a lot of time listening to him talk about how he’s not a quick flip trader but a medium to long term trader. He also sizes his picks based on his convictions. He constantly talks about weathering the storm on high beta stocks but when you have high conviction, it’s not an issue. He raved about this thing constantly in chat saying things like easy 2-3x from here, easy double. In felt gross to read tbh, felt kind of out of character. He never really pumps things hard. But I figured, if this guy has such a high conviction with such a large option exposure, this will be a good one to follow. Throughout the hold, he was constantly buying and selling positions so sell alerts never surprised me until one day he randomly wakes up and sells it all. No joke within 12 hours of extremely positive remarks about it. All conviction gone in a snap. I guess this can be normal in the stock world? He blames an AI news break for his sudden decision but that’s too volatile of a thought process for me I guess, not what I was expecting from what hes nonstop preaching in there. FIVN went on an absolute tear shortly after so he made the wrong decision. He clearly knows how to make money for himself, im not doubting that. But his words do not match his actions imo. I have since not joined any of his picks and I constantly watch him just buy and sell terrible picks with no conviction. He had one AMPL that’s done well but he barely held that but for maybe 2 months? So idk why he spews this nonsense about how he’s not a short term flip trader when he clearly is. I prefer following some of the other analysts in there like Mystic and watching Pup work his magic.
TLDR: He knows how to make money for himself clearly but his words don’t match his actions. Shouts off a roof top conviction in FIVN for months then sells at the snap of a finger with all conviction gone over night.

All of this is true. In addition, when someone raises a question or challenges his perspective, his response can often come across as dismissive and disrespectful. Rather than encouraging an open discussion or considering different viewpoints, he sometimes gives the impression that his perspective is the only valid one.

quote:Interesting. Yeah, honestly, I think he's lost right now and needs a hard reset. He's talked about getting shaken out of a few positions, which I think is some vulnerability.
Buddy the Tiger
He was overleveraged in options and margin and got margin called is the only thing that would make sense. But if that happened then he needs to be honest about it.
I think he's tried to outsmart himself a bit too much this year. His bread and butter, ENS, PLPC, etc. is gold.
Can't say the same for the likes of CRNC and the solar trade.

I guess a lot of people are not happy especially after he doubled his subscription fee. I’d hate to be dealing with his comment section now.

He blocked me on Twitter when I called him out on that bullshite

i pay for this service and it’s been the worst decision of my life. at this point he’s just pumping and dumping on people. mofo has the audacity to say he’s up 100% on the year too just essentially raising capital via pump and dump picks he gets in first on.

Nobody got rich following get rich quick schemes. The people who got rich was the person selling the scheme.

I don’t know anything about stocktalkweekly, but it definitely sounds like he’s made his own exit liquidity through his followers. Picking winning stocks is hard. Once these discords and other influencers get a good following, pump and dumps are way easier to execute and win consistently

I signed up last year for 3 month package ($240)and made a few bucks. One day he posted a pic of his dog, saying the money he makes doesn’t mean that much and he would give it all up for his dog to live forever. Then next thing you know he doubled the subscription fee. I’m like this dude…

It’s really, really hard to beat the market. Many of us have profited from the AI trade. Made us feel smarter.
Markets humble you. That’s why there are very few investors that exceed SP 500 returns over decades.
It’s why about 80% of my portfolio is boring index funds. Keeps me from losing my arse when I start thinking I’m smart.
