quote:

The JNUG ETF is designed to provide 2x-levered exposure to the Market Vectors Junior Gold Miners Index. In other words, it provides leveraged exposure to gold mining stocks, which should perform much better when gold prices rise. Unfortunately, the biggest problem with funds like the JNUG is contango.

Since these types of leveraged funds are constantly rolling over their futures contracts, they are constantly losing value. Forward-month contracts are almost always more expensive than current-month contracts. In other words, JNUG is constantly selling lower-priced expiring contracts and buying higher-priced futures contracts to replace them.

The JNUG ETF is designed for day trading, which is essentially gambling unless you are a professional. Buying and holding the JNUG ETF for more than a few days at a time is essentially flushing money down the toilet.

Thanks. I guess, green is green as long as I’m not trying to hold long term and keep my stop loss up-to-date. Appreciate the insight.

When in Sasol going to make a run again? I got in around $4.80 and it was shooting up for a good while but has been in the $8-$9 range for forever.

I'm a small fry here and just kinda testing the waters with a bit, one of those Robinhood guys ya'll hate so much but SSL is my biggest hold.

It seems like I remember seeing estimates of it getting around $20 share, any thoughts on if $15 or more is even a possibility in the next year or so?

You'll get a bump when they announce a winner of the partnership bid.

You won't see 20 this year more than likely.

I could see 11-13

I cashed out of Ford and took a 9.2% profit. Upcoming earnings gots me nervous and I decided to err on the conservative side, cash out my little stake, and move on and play elsewhere. Putting the funds into WFC for a long hold.

Just dug into WFC....holy shite. Maybe I'll do something else with my FoMoCo money. I figured there would be some red before anything green there, and I love where the yield is (if it holds), but I was basing off price alone and hadn't looked at the composite. Wow.

That kind of rattled me this morning. I know the board makes fun of doom and gloom, but anybody looking at these banks and taking pause?

Its because I sold my stake in STLHF last week since it hasn't done anything in awhile. Lol

Now of course I'm kicking myself

SPCE

Seems like a typical "buy on rumors, sell on news".

Check out AZEK as a Q2 play. Recent IPO and competes with Trex which trades considerably higher. I work in the construction supply industry and neither Trex nor Azek can keep their production up to demand right now. Both should have killer quarters (along with virtually any lumber producer/supplier)

(I own shares of Azek)

Trying to decide if I want to dump sthlf now and buy back. Did it once already.
It is going to run though at some point. Would like about 8000 shares vs the 2000 I have but want them at that 80 cents

Sold fsly today. It is on a weird bobble right now. I think it’ll test 70 again and will buy back
