hope so cgrand. I've made some money off fsly but i bought back in around 80 and getting a little nervous. My plans are to hold these shares for a while though.

I read where Oracle won the bid for TikTok. Microsoft was informed about the decision.

This would make sense. The vibe I got when they decided to take the algorithm off the table is that was the main thing MSFT was after.

on the one hand I’m happy this manufactured drama should soon be over and FSLY price can work its way back. On the other hand I’m wondering what the frick this was all about

So what are y’all doing with Moderna MDRA? I only have a very small amount, but where is it in the clinical phases and is it worth holding on to to see if rises back to the $75/share price I paid for it?

My understanding is that it’s a partnership and not an outright buy. I’ve seen some mention a TikTok global headquarters being located in the US as part of the deal. I’m sure there is some governmental red tape left, but I have a hard time believing they are announcing a deal without being close to a green light. Unless they chose Oracle since Trump is a fan of them and are hoping them being the chosen suitor will provide them an extension on the deadline.

OK the tiktok thing was so fricking stupid. Nothing has changed and it never mattered anyway. They just added a security company with 20MM in sales at 85% profit and can roll that right into their customer base. They are about to release a game changing edge platform coupled with a new industry leading security platform. 3rd Q earnings are going to be insane

Yeah. Look ultimately when FSLY goes back to 115 (will happen this year) it will be because they report 70% yoy growth or whatever. TikTok USA matters virtually zero even in the medium term

the reporting now is that tiktok USA will be a stand-alone entity with oracle as a minority investor. They will still be organically entwined with bytedance and the algorithm remains the property of bytedance
looking at it from FSLY perspective you want tiktok traffic and revenues to grow, because I again remind everyone that FSLY gets paid per instance of data handled. Tiktok US remains a privately held entity that is massively popular worldwide and their potential reach into commerce is just getting started here
