It pays well, I'm riding till it's gone. Here's my distributions, I started with 10K and margin in April. Current equity 15.3K and margin of 11K, margin will be paid in 5 months and then I'll just collect the monthly 2K+ checks till it dies OR maybe reinvest in normal stocks to write CC on.
I will say this probably won't work now. I bought after "Liberation Day" when everything dropped in price, bought a bunch of different funds and sold at the top to capture equity and then re-bought after Ex day when the prices are the lowest of the month.
There's a reddit sub for (Yeildmax) funds and here's a post from one of the mods about the strategy he uses. LINK

Here's a powerpoint from a guy trying to convince his wife to get a 100K loan to buy MSTY. LINK

this seems like a no brainer at this entry price of 20 bucks a share. 20k investment will be paid off in less than two years and generate income from that point forward? Sign me up

Could someone just drop $1mm into msty and get ~$115,000 in dividend payouts monthly at the current 139% dividend yield?
Current share price is $20.59. this would buy you 48,567.26 shares. This month's payout is $1.4707, equaling $71,427.877 for this month.
The price per share on most of these trickles down, as does the monthly distribution. I am holding 2558 MSTY now. I do not auto-DRIP. I do put it back in but wait for a dip.
I am also holding 752 NVDY. It is based on the same principles as MSTY, but with NVDA. I will roll them out of my portfolio as each hits its point of diminishing returns.
I am going to get some MARO soon. Their rate is not as high as the others, but they are new and should be able to maintain a level for a while.
Good luck.

The ETF is successful because the stock price is surging and it’s tremendously volatile. Without both the fund fails. The ETF also has no asset value since they trade with a synthetic share strategy. So if the dividends collapse the share price collapses too.
It’s hard to envision a scenario where any of these single stock strategies can survive longer than a year or two.
At least something like JEPQ outperforms when the market goes sideways. But, I’ve never heard anyone make that argument with the Yieldmax ETFs. They seem to be entirely boom or bust.

Also, check out ULTY, with a price per share of $6.17 and a weekly dividend of around $0.10 this one is very interesting.

I like ULTY. I have 3,750 in my taxable and 2,900 in my Roth on DRIP.

Yes, it's pretty risky for sure, but if bitcoin/MSTR keep going up like is predicted by almost everyone in the bitcoin world you should get your original money back in 1 year (assuming you bought in the low 20s) and then you are on house money....

I bought a little bit of UTLY this morning to keep it on my radar.
It’ll probably crash and burn by weeks end

It'll dip by $0.0950 on Ex-Date but it has been recovering nicely since they went from Monthly to Weekly.

I bought $5000 in my Roth and $2000 in my individual account and turned on DRIP and letting it ride.

I dripped into more. Now holding 2737. Israel pouncing on Iran has MSTY down $.37 at 7 am, EST.
BTC and MSTR are taking a beating. Today will be interesting.

It’s all so confusing. Aren’t we supposed to retreat to BTC during times of uncertainty?
You’d think prices would soar while caravans of people are trekking to the caves in Qumran to stash their cold storage.

In theory, but that's also more the monetary use of BTC. When it flipped to being used for investments, it largely tracks other investments.
Best example is 2020 when the initial Covid concerns had the market crash. BTC got down to like $5k with all the normie investments. If BTC was really a hedge on uncertainty/inflation, it should have exploded while the normie investments crashed.

What did gold do during Covid?

The solution to everything is something that’s used for nothing. Got it.

I was talking about the changing nature of BTC, sir.
Gold is its own bubble fueled by boomers watching FNC largely.
Update: they're not going to be bartering with it like it's the Wild West if shite hits the fan. They're going to be killed and their gold taken.
Just like with BTC, it's going to be difficult to rely on it as a means of money when our electrical and internet infrastructure collapses

I had never heard of this stock until this thread, did a little research and jumped in at $20.85 with about $10K. Hopefully the dividend stays around current levels.
Posted on 6/13/25 at 12:07 pm to slinger1317
Good luck. As an experiment, I did the same a couple weeks ago. Got in at 23.50, after the dividend I’m only down .97.
I feel like a gambler chasing the next hand.

I've been playing around with some of the YM ETF's for fun, my dad has made quite a bit in them.
Probably not sustainable long term but fun for now. I have probably $20k across various funds, obviously wouldn't like to lose it but didn't invest anything there that I couldn't lose.
