China has already been doing this for about 4 years … the Shanghai Exchange allows gold transactions for most of the BRIC members for commonly traded commodities, like oil. It is well established and moderately successful at this point.
Looks like the consolidation for gold is about to wrap up. I still think we see gold $3700 before the bull resumes …. and that’s where my next buys are scheduled … same for miners. And I believe we’ll see it within the next 3 weeks if the Fibonacci charts hold. Almost in the loading zone, IMO.
Silver appears to be following a similar pattern, although I don’t chart silver at the moment … but it travels with gold routinely and appears to have strong support at $47
