If you truly think each and every year you will make more total compensation than the previous year, you will be greatly disappointed later in life.

If everyone had your mentality, no one would ever get a bonus because the employees would all expect that same level of total compensation every time.
If everyone worked as hard as I did we'd have flying cars. People are lazy af and will do the minimum to get by. Exact opposite of my mentality. Good hyperbole tho. I think mine was better.

When no one else acknowledges a single argument or point you have made, 9/10 it's you that are wrong. This being one of those majority 9 times.
TBH, at this point, I hope you do end up leaving Company A for Company B with the $53,500 salary you "earned". It would be poetic justice if at years end, Company B offers no raise at all while Company A gives a 5% EOY bonus (Total Compensation of $54, 075 for 2019) and another 3% base raise for the following year.

Sure man. Whatever you wanna believe. Next time you see a 40 year old working at Mickey Ds ask yourself how they got themselves in that situation. Those kinds of people are like 33% of the population.

You got this part right because anyone who has any real business acumen knows you are wrong in this situation.

entitled cuck who doesn't understand what a bonus
You still obviously don't understand what a bonus is. A BONUS means in addition to your base salary. It does not become a part of your base salary the following year just because you are assuming your total compensation will be less this year than last.
If this year you save the company less than $200k, can the company ask for a reimbursement of your total compensation since you didn't bring the same value to the company?

That's the plan. I just posted it on here to get an idea of if people thought that was ridiculous or if I'm an entitled millenial. Apparently I'm the latter.
When I got my current job (out of college), my signing bonus was 16%, and with moving allowance 27%
No one who I got hired with expected to get it the next year, because it was explicitly stated to be a signing bonus. So yeah you actually are the latter here

$2,400 after taxes is around $1,800 net over 24 pay periods is $75/pay period. This is some immaterial bullshite in the span of a career. My $0.02.
Where did you get 24 from. I think you mean 26
Posted on 4/11/19 at 6:04 am to IntenseKid
Semimonthly is probably more of the norm and has 24 pay periods.

And you don't understand sign on bonus is a one time thing?

Most companies offer one as an extra padding to cover extra costs of moving not covered by a relocation package

No I believe I have EARNED that pay.
This is your first year out of school working?
They likely are overpaying you

Holy fricking shite. I wouldn't bitch for a 2nd at those kind of rates!?!?! God damn that's 43%!! That's a fricking sign on bonus right there.
Posted on 4/11/19 at 7:28 am to HogFanfromHTown
a sign on bonus is just that a bonus. i am in my 40s, and i can attest that some years i make less then the previous year due to the bonus structure in a given year.
some years i have gotten as low as a 5% bonus and other years i have gotten a 20% bonus. so numerous time i made less then the previous year
And when i started at the company i an with now, i was given a $15k sign on bonus, but got it after 3 years. if i left prior to the 3 years, i didn't get it. if they RIFed/terminated my employment, i would have still gotten it.
and a 3% raise 1 year isn't the worst thing in the world, typically here i get a raise every 2-3 years

Now I know you have been trolling this entire time. You bitch about claiming to have "earned" your sign-on bonus to be a part of your base salary, but wouldn't bitch if your sign on was like TheIndulger

Suck my fricking dick, I am done with this thread. I am not overpaid. If my projects all reach their full potential I will save the company over a million dollars. Excuse fricking me for thinking I've earned a SMALL fricking piece to match my prevous years total compensation when I've already saved over 200,000. Go ahead and continue to shite on me I could really give a shite less. I know what a sign on bonus is but I also know my worth and have been told many times by extremly succesful people. "Corporations will dangle the carrot in front you and give you measly raises tonstay with them for as long as they can." So suck my fricking dick for thinking I've earned a measly few extra dollars. I'm sorry y'all have y'all's heads so far up the system's arse that your kissing thier fricking bowels and believe in just accepting whatever they so gracioualy give you. I'm out anchor this bitch or have a circle jerk calling me an entitled cuck. I'm done.
This melt from the OP throughout the thread has been epic. Comes to the Money Board supposedly looking for advice but really just came to bitch and try to get a random group of strangers to rally behind him, when that doesn't work, he digs in his position deeper, all to eventually call the MB posters all "know it alls", says everyone is "up the system's asses"
In a few years, remember, I like extra packets of ketchup for my fries when you pack my food up.

I'm sorry y'all don't provide actual value to your corpprations unless your cooking the books so anyone bitching about their pay in ungrateful but suck my fricking dick. I hope your fricking job gets automated.I can show in real dollars what my value to yhe company is and you can suck my fricking dick for wanting yo be acknowledged and fairly compensated for it. Go frick yourselves I am done with this thread. Anchor this bitch or continue to have a circle jerk calling me an entitled cuck I don't give a shite. I'm out

Now this is just becoming fun to watch you unravel. I didn't know business and engineering made me a "fricking accountant arse motherfricker". Sorry, your math and mental capacity is not as vast as you believe it to be. If anyone's job is to be automated, its the data guy that uses excel to break down data. You also have NO idea what kind of value anyone on this board brings to their respective companies, but keep assuming and melting. It's great.

To begin, you are being fairly compensated. You just presume you are worth more. You want a participation trophy for doing a job you were hired to do?

Second time you have said this now yet you are still here commenting. Why do you want this taken down so badly? Is it because what you facepalmed during this entire thread?
