think my dad is holding the bag on some RIG right now. told him to sell that shite last year when i sold SDRL.

What did he get RIG at?
Posted on 11/26/14 at 2:34 pm to Thib-a-doe Tiger
my guess would be in the 30s, maybe around $40. told him to sell that crap.

Maybe you should edit the topic? SDRL: dividend suspended for the foreseeable future ?? ...just a suggestion since the news is buried on page 5.

This stock has to go up eventually right? We're not just gonna stop drilling..,

Oil dropped below $70...we may not be close to the SDRL bottom yet

Oil dropped below $70?? I totally missed that. Can't wait to load up on DBO!

WTI was at $69.84 this morning before I left the house

I edited in the correction.
For those who just jumped in the original title of this thread was SDRL has a yield of 14.24%.
Oy, I'm getting killed on this stock.
I've decided to hold on to it. Eventually, oil prices have to rise again.
According to analysts, the move to cut dividends was a good long term decision. But it hurts now.

yeah, since there won't be any more jumping in for a quick dividend, those who are still in should be very long. I'll be watching.
Best of luck to everyone

It was at 14.26 as a low yesterday. If it drops under $14, I'm fairly certain I'll pick some up.
I'll likely also put in a 30 day option for some at 12.50 or maybe $13 and see if I can pick up some more.

I have an order in to get some at $14.66 tomorrow.

I can see this going below $14 with oil continuing to slide.
Its under $65/barrel tonight and falling in overseas trading.

I'm good with waiting it out for awhile. I had some money I had put aside for a speculative play.

I would follow your gut and not listen to me
I jumped in small at $22.50. I plan to add to that position, but do think it will fall more. I'd like to get my cost average to ~$16. Hoping this hits the $12.50 range.

Same. $21.05 for me
Posted on 12/1/14 at 8:34 am to jimbeam
I bought it an 31 and have dollar cost averaged down to 26.56 a share
I was always planning to hold long term but this hurts. I'll be watching this one and buying more if it continues to slide.
thoughts on long term prospect for SDRL?
