Maybe you should edit the topic? SDRL: dividend suspended for the foreseeable future ?? ...just a suggestion since the news is buried on page 5.

I edited in the correction.

For those who just jumped in the original title of this thread was SDRL has a yield of 14.24%.

Oy, I'm getting killed on this stock.

I've decided to hold on to it. Eventually, oil prices have to rise again.

According to analysts, the move to cut dividends was a good long term decision. But it hurts now.

yeah, since there won't be any more jumping in for a quick dividend, those who are still in should be very long. I'll be watching.
Best of luck to everyone

It was at 14.26 as a low yesterday. If it drops under $14, I'm fairly certain I'll pick some up.

I'll likely also put in a 30 day option for some at 12.50 or maybe $13 and see if I can pick up some more.

I can see this going below $14 with oil continuing to slide.

Its under $65/barrel tonight and falling in overseas trading.

I'm good with waiting it out for awhile. I had some money I had put aside for a speculative play.

I would follow your gut and not listen to me

I jumped in small at $22.50. I plan to add to that position, but do think it will fall more. I'd like to get my cost average to ~$16. Hoping this hits the $12.50 range.

I bought it an 31 and have dollar cost averaged down to 26.56 a share

I was always planning to hold long term but this hurts. I'll be watching this one and buying more if it continues to slide.

thoughts on long term prospect for SDRL?
