If there is an admin reading this we need a poll function asap. I'm familiar with all these bullet suggestions but there doesn't seem to be a consistent answer.

Looks like 60% barnes 40% all other
Do the 165's typically leave an exit wound more often?

I'd be willing to sacrifice a bit of trajectory if it means a more consistent exit wound...
Shooting a 30-06.... whitetail only. Average shot is 100 yds with the longest being around 350.

Used my last nosler partrition 165 gr this past weekend.

Anyone got a favorite? Thinking about 150 gr barnes x...

correct. It's over a dozen companies now.

About 30,000 acres -- "fair chase behind high fence" - basically a quality hunting experience in a controlled environment - not much fair chase about it - I didn't know canned hunts qualified for B&C

What? It's about 1/4 of that that is truly high fenced. The bulk of the land is fenced on the highway side only. You can drive by and see for yourself

Yep - high fence, you pay a lot of money to kill something out there...
Wrong. There are several thousand acres high fenced but the vast majority of the land is only high fenced on the highway side to prevent poachers. The deer are B&C eligible. You don't "pay" anything, its invite only hunts. They don't sell or guide hunts.

If I had millions to blow I would build a mansion on a bunch of property too. Even IF it were 55k acres fenced, which it isn't, the vast majority of deer would die before ever seeing a fence. That's 85 square miles.... not exactly the typical 2000 acre high fence

employer match wording?

Posted by DucksnBucks37 on 12/1/14 at 10:22 am
Kinda threw me off.

"Employer will match 50% up to 2.5 of gross annual salary"

Does this mean (assuming 50k salary) that they will match:

50% of the $1250 (2.5% of 50k) that I put up?

or they put up 1250 if I put in 2500?

I bought it an 31 and have dollar cost averaged down to 26.56 a share :banghead:

I was always planning to hold long term but this hurts. I'll be watching this one and buying more if it continues to slide.

thoughts on long term prospect for SDRL?

Energy Index or O&G stocks?

Posted by DucksnBucks37 on 12/1/14 at 8:27 am
I've got about 8k liquid in my E*Trade account that I would like to invest long term.

Excuse my ignorance but wouldn't now be a good time to start dollar cost averaging into an O&G Blue chip (xom, cvx...others?) or some sort of energy index?

Can anyone recommend one for long term? 20+ yrs

thank you in advance

I use Wildgame Innovations cameras. Nothing but good things to say about them. Favorite is the LO8, got a full year out of a set of batteries and it has the on camera screen + easy setup

fund choice? VTSMX seems like the fund of choice around here

30k windfall

You're 27 years old, single, no debt, maxed roth, 50k salary, contributed to get full 401k match, 8 months emergency fund established. Work will likely have you moving in the next 2 years so you're renting

Where/How do you invest the 30k that _____ left you as inheritance.

taxable accounts? VTSMX monthly for 30 months?

thanks,

When you kill him check out the hoof on the opposite side of his cow horn. I bet you there's some type of damage to it. It's weird the way that works but i've seen in numerous times
