Just got called by a Finance recruiter (Michael Page). I have always been skeptical of using their resources/recruit consultants, but was curious how the MT board views them.
My view is, the jobs that they help you get aren't the type that you'd WANT to get...but any experience/input from others?

I haven't used them, but I know they do get decent jobs. I know JRCO uses them.

In the O&G industry they are used very heavily. They don't have any negative connotation, its just how things are done. I have no idea about the finance world.

Well apparently my initial thoughts weren't correct. thanks for the input. If only Baylor would chime in w/ forecasting my future employment then i might feel more comfortable.

I have a best friend who did this for several years, specifically finance.

Not true. And even if it was, you still have the interview process to decide that for yourself.

I'm a recruiter, specialize in Healthcare. Many times working with a recruiter can be quite the benefit. A good recruiter has very strong and established relationships with the clients that they recruit for. These relationships would lead to the recruiter having access to unposted positions and also hiring managers having an initial favorable view of any candidates presented through them.

How much does someone have to pay for a recruiter's services?
