I hope it come in lower than expected, however I'm not confident. All I know is the market needs help.

I'm going CPI higher than expected with more bad news in the underlying numbers. Today, the SPX posted an inside day while in defined downtrend which is usually not a good sign for an up day tomorrow either. These factors lead me believe we will see continued downward pressure causing a decline in the 2 to 3 percent range.

I've been short since the last little rally back on the 4th of October so my opinion might be slightly biased.

8.2%-8.4%

The market goes very red as this pretty much guarantees a .75 increase in November instead of .5.

8.1% and Biden claims he’s beaten it down with his policies.

Interesting, everyone is saying red.

Mark me down for a big green market tomorrow. Knowledge leads to a green market, despite good news or bad news

Higher. Lower. Anything above 5% and the Fed is still going to be pedal to the metal.

Your 401Ks will also be worthless if inflation stays as high as it is. It would be promising to see a reduction in government spending as well but I suppose that’s not going to happen anytime soon.

Well UK just hinted a reversal in their budget plan and that is sending everything higher pre market so that throws a wrench into how this CPI number will sway the market

Let's go Joe!! No end in sight to inflation. Interest rate hikes provide zero relief so far.

It feels like these CPI reports are lagging. I feel like inflation over the past year has been mind-blowingly high, but seems to have just remained high, not steadily increasing month over month. Anybody else feel that way?

RIP to my portfolio and 401k.

Agree....Unfortunately both Joe and the Fed don't have a clue.

Now a 60% chance we go .75% and then .75% again.
