We (u me and a few others), screamed at the top of our lungs that he didn't know what he was talking about. They still listened to him.
Ah.....good times.

So how many real dollars you think Wiki had wrapped up in this pie in the sky BS?

He probably didn't spend much on his since he got them while very cheap. However, I'd venture to say he lost $50,000-$100,000 by not selling when everyone told him to

Idiots, haters, luddites, just to name a few. I would like to be called "Master" now.

I'll copy my post from the other wiki/bitcoin thread since the tardmins anchored it.
---
While I get that it's fun to bust Wiki's balls over his prediction of the price of bitcoins at this date, should it also be fun to bust the balls of those who thought oil would be $100/bbl?
I know there are plenty in the "Predict the price on 12/31/14" thread.
VC firms invested $315Million in bitcoin startups in 2014
Somebody out there thinks bitcoin has staying power.

And to follow on, without digging through a bunch of stuff, Wiki was totally wrong when he pushed bitcoin as an "investment". It's not an investment, it's a currency... a medium of exchange. It's only value is in what it's value is at the moment.
It will IMO have a sustainable function in our lives moving forward.
So, also IMO, both sides of this thread have been significantly wrong and shouldn't feel justified laughing at the other.

I remember earlier where Wiki accused Russian of being an internet bully and idiot. I laughed at the thought somebody thinks anybody on the internet is a mean bully haha. I just popped back in to check this thread. My prediction was $239 and change. Just missed it haha.
ETA: Here is is Russian...

I think what is most disturbing in all of this is that the Money Board community is so terrified of LSURussian that they won't call him out on his bullshite. C, Broke, Benny, you are all smart enough to see through his games but you never call him out. Why?

Is it in the realm of possibilities that he offed himself after losing that much?

I remember that post by Wiki. Now bow down to the Great LSURussian, knave!!
Good call on your btc prediction!
Was your prediction the closest to the year end price? I've never read through this entire thread and I didn't make a prediction so I don't know how other predictions fared.

Nope, mine was not closest. Brink beat me by a few bucks, literally.
It came in at $311.

You went back years to bump a thread to call someone out? Consider getting a life

The circle jerk between Russian and Broke is top of the mountain funny.
