Not anytime soon and at probably 10x the cost if you aren't going to bring in the chinese who have already automated at scale.

Would the government fund/mandate that ports need to use USA developed and manufactured hardware and software?

So, I bet you’re saying that Chyna went through some growing pains before they enjoyed the benefits of the union-free automation.

I think that’s what you’re saying. Maybe we need those growing pains as well.

I mean,

the CCP effectively runs all the ports there. You think we should model that?

Anyone know what happens when a longshoreman's travel softball team collides with that of a south LA oilfield worker?

So you’re for a dictatorship with a supreme leader so that we can automate work at the expense of working men and women who are to have no job rights? Jeez. Nice to know your position. Hope you like your 7 day- 10 hour work weeks. Wait, you died on the job? Good, I can replace you with a teenager!

Good point, while we are at it, what did tractors fix? Let's go back to sickles.
What did computers fix? Let's go back to paper drafting and typewriters and calculators.....shite or should we go back to abacus and papyrus, or do we go back to before the written word?

Man, being anti progress is complicated; that's why we should just leave that shite to China and Xi and keep our antequated ways.
