No but the taxpayer does.
We did it. When we first got the pitch, we said we planned to pay cash. They glowed.
We did multiple rounds with cash. We were treated like royalty.
I always thought you had to pay for it but some program must exist out there for those that cannot. The waiting room had people in there who struggle with paying a cell phone bill.

I did credit cards for this - opened up a new card for each big expense (one for the retrieval, one for transfer etc) and received many a signing bonus
After 4 rounds before success, it paid for many trips and a babymoon to Hawaii

We had to do the same. We paid with a CC to get the points. Luckily you don’t have to pay all of it upfront and it’s over a few months.

Woah, the prices have gone up. We were in your boat in 2009 and did the artificial insemination a few times and IVF was the next step. Although it was like $10 - 12k then per cycle. Inflation sux.
We prayed about it and ended up adopting our daughter and adopted a 2nd daughter 4 yrs later, both as newborns.
As far as question of payment, I think I would do a CC to get some travel miles or something out of it.

The financing they are offering isn’t great and it may actually delay things because we would have to get approved (no issues there).
We put it all on the CC and just paid it off early. Used the points to pretty much cover a babymoon after. The financing if I remember right had a crazy high interest rate.
Best of luck to you and your wife, it's a very difficult time, but the payoff is the best thing in the world.

i have family members that did this. was only 10 to 12k a round but that was back in 2007 i think. They tried IUI first which is way cheaper. You might wanna try that route first before IVF if you havent already. pay for it any other way you would pay for certain assets. use leverage. go get a loan. shop around. use a LOC. put it on the CC get your points then pay off with the loan or LOC. pay off when you feel like it.

I did the Invetro with a previous significant other and I think your strategy of putting each bill on the CC and getting points or cash back is the way to go. When I did it I only paid $17K for the first round and could have tried a second time for about another $7K. Can't believe it is $30K now for 1st round.
