Payment for fertility treatments

Need some advice MB.
Wife and I are having to do IVF which is a bummer and super expensive.
Total cost is around 30k for 1 round.
My question is, we have the cash to pay for this upfront. We are blessed at the moment, but what is the most strategic way to go about it?
I can put this on my CC and get points and pay it off in full. But is there another way to go about this?
The financing they are offering isn’t great and it may actually delay things because we would have to get approved (no issues there).

My wife and I are in your position. We paid it in full to get CC points. We heard the same points about financing.

Are the funds currently in cash or invested elsewhere? My only suggestion would be if you have the funds invested and want to keep them deployed, it may be possible to borrow using a SBLOC. You'd accrue interest but still get potential for growth and delay paying tax you'd realize by selling assets. Of course, there's margin risk if you have insufficient collateral.

Funds are in cash, so liquidity isn’t the issue.

There are IVF grants and programs to reduce related prescription costs. I dont recall looking into them much and if we ruled it out or were just unaware and overwhelmed. You may not be able to qualify without a demonstrated financial need but cant hurt to ask.

There’s a handful of companies offering financing at point of sale
Can also look at traditional unsecured financing from some of the big players

If you have the cash, I'd avoid financing unless it's a true 0% offer. First ask the clinic whether they charge a fee for credit cards. If there's no fee, I'd put it on a rewards card and pay it off immediately for the points. If there is a 3% processing fee, you're usually better off paying by ACH/check unless they're offering a discount or you're hitting a huge sign-up bonus that's worth more than the fee. Also check whether any portion is HSA/FSA eligible and whether they offer a cash-pay discount. From a purely financial standpoint, that's generally the highest-value approach while avoiding interest. Best wishes to you, IVF is emotionally and financially demanding, and I hope everything goes well.
