Some influencer is pumping it - Bayou talked out about it over the weekend

Thanks Kevin! Love you buddy!!
That was a dump calls event.
I’m too scared not to buy shares so I always just buy immediately in case there’s more upside.
Still holding five 2028 calls, but sold to close six 2027s Friday and twelve this morning.
With the shares, I sold to open calls for 8/21 $70 strike.
Collected 3k
If we hit $40, I’ll buy back the $70s and go long again on the Feb 2027s.
This is why I was still up last week for June while the markets were down.

Hopefully these influencers keep the pumping going and not the old pump and dump.
It would be nice if I could be an influencer, but I’m sure being one must be harder than it seems, or else everybody would be one.

Closed my 8/21 $40c calls (were up 70% today alone)
Going hunting again to pick up more calls once we inevitably hit a -10% day
Loving this company and super bullish on their future

Im looking to close my 1/27 $41c. Im up a bunch and have a sell order in place that is on the cusp of hitting.

Darn. Was planning to retake a position. Not going to FOMO up 25% in a day.

Volume is incredibly low so I took a minor profit haircut selling mine, but had to lock in profit on a 25% day that extends a 52 week high.
I’ll rebuy later on. Hope your sell order hits.

I had been day trading in Oust and closed out a large chunk last week for a nice little gain. It had been fluctuating so much I wasn’t too worried about missing out.
Was planning on retaking a position today…..
Missed out on a solid run…. Had a bunch at 36.50 and sold it at 42.75 last week. If I had held that until today… frick lol

I had previously mentioned I am new to options. What should I do with an Oust 40 Call Jan 27? My account says I am up like $700 on it.

Nobody can tell you what happens next but 25% in 1 day is pretty significant. I sold my Jan 27 25c for a decent gain but still holding my base shares.

In my opinion, you have two options. Both are good.
1) Do nothing & hold
2) Sell your contract today to lock in your $700 profit and try to rebuy at a later date for a cheaper price before Jan 2027
Depends what your goal is. Option 2 minimizes your downside risk in the short term, but if you planned to hold until Jan 2027 (or want additional exposure to OUST between now and then), you might as well just hold it and wait for OUST share price to run up more between now and January.
TL;DR
Option 1: Hold
Option 2: Sell and try to rebuy the exact call option you hold for cheaper (assuming the stock corrects a bit short-term, you’ll find good value in this option**)
**[Meaning option 2, unrelated entirely to the call option we are discussing]

Ok - that is a good description of the options. Wait and hope it goes up or take profits and be happy! This reminds me of the "Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered" motto

Cheers to 50+% gains on the options today gentlemen!

You have plenty of time, so you don't have to do anything. It will probably go 3 steps forward and two steps back for the entire year.
You are probably up more than $700. Your account probably bases that value on the bid price not the ask. You can probably sell it for somewhere in between bid/ask.

Great point here - the amount you are “up” is the absolute low end of the bid/ask spread. (AKA what the last call option that is identical to yours was sold for, or the “bid price”)
The “ask” price is the cheapest current option that is set for a limit sell and available to be purchased by an investor. There is almost always a gap, and since options for OUST are fairly illiquid, you are more likely to be able to sell for closer to asking price. (from my limited experience)
What I did when I sold today was to start at the asking price (high end of bid/ask spread), and lower it by $0.10 each time until it got auto sold - this is called “buy limit hunting”. If it didn’t auto sell, I would redo the sell order to reduce the amount I asked for by $0.10.
Essentially I kept moving from the highest price I thought I could get (the ask price) and lowered it 10 cents each time until I found an investor’s buy limit - for me it was a bit above the midpoint of the bid/ask spread.

I typically sell calls on pops, buy shares with proceeds, use shares to sell covered calls.
Wait for a drop.
Buy back covered calls, sell shares, go long calls.
I think I’ve done this about 4 times now since May??

I do not understand the buying and sell of shares. It seems backward because you are buying on the pop and selling on the drop.
I appreciate the strategy and have been following you this year so don't take this the wrong way.
