Id guess no considering the global economy feels like it is cooling off a lot and the political volatility doesn’t help the cause at all

I'd guess yes. Premise being economy begins accelerating again or it doesn't. However, prior to every recession with the exception of Covid, oil runs up. Feel free to check my work.

Far from the worst.

But I have too many eggs in that basket already.

Administration putting a lot of emphasis on domestic energy production. This actually drives prices down in the short term. Probably cheaper prices ahead

Yes, but…

What I’ve seen in my time is that, despite a goal, such as drill baby drill, often the totally opposite happens.

Personally, oil below $70 “feels” low. If I had extra case, I’d be putting a little in USO.

The last time Trump was in office domestic companies got crushed all four years he was there. Foreign oil from Saudi flooded the market with cheap oil. This time around I’m hearing that we are going to increase supply and lower consumer prices. Not sure how that works.
I don’t expect this administration to be a friend of the oil and gas industry and don’t have any direct holdings since November.

Get the pipelines done. Buffet shouldn't move one ounce of crude via train.
