Nope, been in the game since 17. Haven’t got into Metamask or anything like that but know my way around binance. Have dabbled in atomic hub with mlb, etc. Aware of Open Sea. Part of Veve.

Ok good deal. The reason I was asking is because the first part of the answer is how to get the funds, and that changes depending on whether you're new to crypto or not.
In this thread, the main focus has been sol drops. So for that
1- download the phantom wallet. It's a a browser extension. So go to the extension of the browser you're using and find it. Once you do that, you'll have a seed phrase for your wallet, that you'll gave to store safely.
2- buy sol. Since you're already on the crypto game, just look for it in the platforms you already use.
3- Transfer above sol to your phantom wallet.
4- wait and be patient. The market went from shooting fish in a barrel to needing to be more selective. Read what people suggest on here, but don't jump into everything.
5- when you decide to jump in a drop, I recommend you join that project's discord channel. You don't have to follow everything. But some announcements there can be the difference between securing an NFT vs not.
I'm personally still more involved in eth NFTs, but dipping my toes indy sol.
For eth, replace phantom above with Metamask, and eth with sol and the process is the same
