I truly hope you guys crush it with NFTs, but unless it's tied to something like a video game, I can't do it.
I will continue to follow the thread, so please let me us know if you find a golden opportunity. Star Atlas was one, but I couldn't move money around fast enough to get in early.

Build a lot of hype around something. Share how exclusive and rare it is, get people excited. Many folks make a lot of money and many others get REKT. You always have a winner and a loser. It's the trading game.
How can it be sustained? My guess is 99% of the things being bought and sold by those here will be worthless in no time with maybe the exception of a few.

got a couple question for you. considering dipping a toe into eth pond. know I'll need to buy eth and transfer to metamask just like phantom with Sol.
questions: how bad are gas fees for a mint and how much should I expect to lose just to try. tips to help appreciated.
Also: is there gas fee added to buy on opensea and if so how much there?
eta: I don't think I'm going to be able to get it all sorted out comfortably before the mint, but you ETH guys may want to look at Galaxy Eggs. thought they were completely different and pretty cool and have legit artist in charge and pretty big following.

For example, look at these two different transactions. One is someone minting a galaxy egg, the other is someone buying a galaxy egg off opensea after the mint. Fees look scary in the mint, but which one is cheaper overall?

Gas sucks. But typically high gas usually means it's going to be worth it for a quick flip. If you're trying to buy something, target the "quiet" times for low gas fees.

1000% agree with this atm, very very saturated environment.
Yeah, figured that was the case, but saw some odd stuff on discord, like some Chineese whale reserved a whole block of like 800 by finding the contract, while lots of regulars spent over 1,000 in gas and got nada. Just seems like ETH process takes a good bit more study to complete safely. (although it may be only option if SOL is DED :)
Thanks for the help and keep eyes open for anything that legit looks interesting.

A little trickier than that. I minted (well tried to mint) from the contract as well, but that's not the unusual. But yeah regulars were paying more.
No one lost that much on gas though, if your transaction doesn't go through, you don't lose the whole amount of gas you were trying to pay.
Now, there's times where a project fricks up the way the contract is written and people lost their arse on gas lol.

I think the mint was white list / pre-sale only plus a ton of scams. They sold out before the site stabilized.

Yeah, I got caught with my pants down. Had 3.87 SOL in my Phantom and they were going for 4. Now Solanart and CB appear to be locked up.
