I was going back through my crypto buying history and while I was busy shouting lambo land in dec 17 with eth neo and btc this link was just sitting there under 50 cents. What could’ve been.

it’s hyperbole and comes from /biz but the thought is if staking went live and most link is locked up in nodes being used as collateral that supply and demand would push link price higher since those requesting data would need Link to pay the contracts. If the use case of billion of dollars for the derivatives market get used these type of contracts would require significant collateral which would increase Link token value.
