Dang I havent spent too much time trying to read into and understand all of this. Guess ill have to go back a few pages and see if I can figure it all out. I saw a article on yahoo about if you bought $100 of Bit 7 years ago you would have like 74 million....then i remembered seeing this thread. So I need to start it all off by looking at coinbase?

Coinbase blows but it's pretty secure and easy to use for a beginner.

Haven't used it yet but I'm set up on Kraken and I'd imagine it's superior

I just bought 1 ETH on Coinbase for $171....low stakes, but I don't wanna screw myself if this thing tanks. Hey if I make 20 bucks I'll consider it a victory

I've been trading XRP and STR along with ETH and BTC. I've been trying to figure out which of the other alt coins to trade, what news are you looking at to determine which ones to invest in? Or is it more of a chart watching gut type move? These charts move a lot like penny stocks, very unpredictable even within the Bollinger bands.
Trying to set the SMAs to where they make sense but I can't figure out what to set yet (if it even matters with crypto).

technical analysis is voodoo with crypto as far as i can tell.
i follow the volume (relative volume particularly), have tight stop losses, and get out after 5-10% profits.
with that said, on polo, the market depth chart is a cool tool to play with, imo. you can see the support, resistance, buy/sell walls. these are all useful when trading
