I am still thinking Q4, there’s just an unsettling amount of weakness from BTC.
I figure BTC will challenge the 60% market dominance at least one more time and that’s where it will try to push to 130-150, but yeah, idk.

Yes. Sell it around Dec/jan when it rises with the tide

Seems like if Chyna legalizes crypto it will moon. Maybe I’ll just hang onto it out of hope.

Umm should I be selling off my FBTC? (rhetorical question)
BTC down 6% in 3 days. I've held for about a year and I understand the inherent volatility but I haven't seen a drop like this yet.

Ugly price movement for everyone today, but August and sept typically suck.

PSA for anyone needing to upgrade or wants a backup, the Ledger Nano S Plus is $59 on Amazon, including all of the colors which make good gifts.
I know some people freak out over buying from Amazon, but you can run the check in Ledger Live, and I've never had a problem.

Who wants to tell him that 6% in three days ain't shite?
You will be baptized in the church of crypto when you see a 25% drop. You will become an elder in the church of crypto when you see a 25% drop and you feel nothing.

Bitwise releases their latest thoughts on Bitcoin.
A very good read. PDF Here
quote:
“We expect the next 10 years will be a strong decade for bitcoin, driven by the confluence of three factors: (1) bitcoin’s continued emergence as an institutional asset, which should generate consistent net inflows into the asset over time; (2) rising demand for hard-asset exposure as a hedge against inflation risk among institutional investors; and (3) the extremely limited and inelastic new supply of bitcoin.”
“We forecast bitcoin will be the best-performing institutional asset over the next decade, with its price rising to $1.3 million by 2035 (a 10-year forward compound annual growth rate of 28.3%). Those returns will come with significant volatility, though that volatility will be lower than historical averages.”
“We believe that bitcoin’s historic ‘four-year cycle’ is no longer relevant, although we caution that bitcoin is still subject to significant drawdowns.”

Maybe I'm crazy but tampering is pretty evident if tried. Anyone with any common sense can look for signs and run a verification check, all good hard wallets have the ability.
People are far more likely to lose crypto from fishing attacks and social engineering or signing a malicious contract. Anyone that has done any basic research would know not to use a wallet that had the seed word recovery already filled in.
BestBuy, Amazon and others sell tons of wallets, how do you know the UPS/FedEx guy didn't pull the switcharoo on you if you order from the manufacturer?
Security comes from knowledge and mindset, no matter where you purchased your wallet.

I don't disagree with a lot of what you've said. It's your conclusion that doesn't make sense. Yes, there are many attack vectors. Why would you willingly provide one?

Yea I just don't see a reason to buy from Amazon for this. For what, to save a few dollars?

I guess I just can't stand all of the "influencers" that are always posting like if you buy at BestBuy or Amazon you are going to lose everything. Ledger allows you to pay on their site and pick up at BestBuy.They would not do that if it was unsafe Affiliates use scare tactics to guide people from purchasing from affiliate links. Many of them make more on the affiliate payouts than their investments.
When people buy from those links, they think they are "safe". The only way to be safe is to treat any new wallet as compromised and to verify before loading your holdings on it and if you are going to do that it doesn't matter if it is from Amazon etc.
Also, the price is now dropped on Ledger's site also, it wasn't showing the sale price before

I'm a longtime Ledger user, predating the original Nano S. The wallets were like a usb key and you had a credit card sized card with codes on it. I ordered direct from Ledger because that is the only way you could get one then.
Ledgers database was breached years ago, and my contact info was leaked. I receive daily emails and calls at least 3 times a week (for years) of people using that info trying to scam me.
The database had over a million customers info in it and I'm sure more people have been scammed using that info than supply chain attacks from buying at Amazon.
Amazon hasn't leaked my info to be used for fishing or social engineering attacks. So, ordering from which one made me safer?
How many credible supply chain attacks can be verified to have happened except the few prefilled seed recovery cases years ago that have been repeated constantly?
Everyone should buy from wherever they feel safe but should also know they are not safe just because they do that. Knowledge of what they are doing and how crypto "works" is essential and there is always more to learn.

I've been in crypto since 2021
Once upon a time volatility in the stock market would cause me concern

Meh, my only question is when to buy more. I'm not convinced now is the time, but we shall see.
