Data tracked by Coinglass shows the price drop has triggered nearly $600 million worth of bitcoin futures positions in less than an hour. The market appeared over leveraged earlier this week with open interest (OI) elevated in bitcoin terms.

“The bitcoin denominated OI has now remained above 365,000 BTC for more than a month. It is not common to see such a high OI being sustained for such a long duration. This could suggest that the market is currently over- saturated with leverage,” Arcane Research’s weekly note published Tuesday said.

Personally I would wager that people get sad over S2F being a myth, YE selling, and then tax selling. Narrative around 4 year cycle and bear market. Then when everyone underexposed a big rally in spring.

Who knows. I was fortunate to catch both runs this year. Risk looks greater than reward in equities. With BTC in the 40s again I’m not sure that’s the case here, though.

100k was planb meme and I'm sure the moonboys have left now once they realized it isn't happening

as long as sol continues to lead up as it's been doing all year I'll consider that a good sign. that's a different feature of this cycle

fair to be patient but I just bought more under $190

but yeah. the macro rules all so guess we will see

Yeah, each time is different. And I don’t mean that in a sarcastic way. I just think any of us who have been around for over 4 years knows when it starts to smell. It did a couple weeks ago. But out of the nukes tend to come new flowers. We’ll see who is picked this time

Dips are just great buying opportunities for long term hodlers. Gonna DCA and increase my staking rewards.

No blow off top ? This is not the end or start of a bear market . The fifth and final wave is coming . Load up and prepare to jump ship the next and final wave up .

I'm not panicking. I had my Aave health above 2 and I'm just farming up tricrypto pool in a Beefy vault, and I'm about to pick up more BTC/ETH with this juicy dip. Even if I'm catching a falling knife, in a year or two ill be happy with my decisions to hold now

I remember the euphoria earlier this year when BTC reached $30K. "Wow!", they said.

oh yea i agree; all the classic signs of getting out and into stables were there

seems reasonable to think many are going to be risk-off until jan so more downside or sideways movement until macro clarity with omricon (lol) and/or if the fed is larping or not about tightening

Nukes like this after periods that have been flat to down are generally not good signs. I’ll get downvoted for being realistic and not saying $100k next week but after the relief bounce I think this thing is done for now. The macro headwinds just too strong.

I don't think 100k next week either, but I think we are still generally on the upswing medium term.
