So if I have bought in at a few different values, and I sell off only a portion of my coins, how do they determine the value of my gains? Is it more value based on the lower price I bought in at or a lower value based on the higher price I bought in at?

I assume weighted avg cost basis of buys vs. weighted avg cost basis of sells is how gains are determined.

I think that the price has risen on that news already, and if/when it doesn't explode tomorrow, some people will sell to lock in profits or sell because they didn't get the bump they thought they would, which will cause a chain reaction of panic selling.
