They’re beginning to have a supply issue. That’s why the stock didn’t pop. They can’t deliver on current demand with the Blackwell chip.

Saying it is only used in fake AI girlfriends is simply moronic

In a span of about 2 years, AI and specifically ML / neural networks in the manufacturing sector went from some possible use cases to a cottage industry to a full-fledged enterprise with tons of growth potential. Has barely scratched the surface.

One of the problems appears to be the entire semi-conductor space just can't get anything going. Looks like a churn for a while.
As an aside, anybody go an opinion on MU?

This stock has a history of stalling our before going on runs. I suspect that is what will happen here before moving up again in Q1.

Stake liquidity around 90-92 if you are interested in buying.

Definitely still worth holding.

Will always be a big player in semi space

Thanks. That's what I'm looking at. I'm old and I still trade gaps. Going back to 9/25 there was a gap opening from 95 to 108 so we've nearly filled that gap.

You have no idea why the stock didn’t pop.

What it means to me is that it’s overvalued and the market is reacting to reasonable valuation.

It’s saying “nice numbers but it’s so highly valued that it doesn’t even warrant the high expectations”

If this company misses by a fraction of a hair, look out below

That said- I still hold. It’s an investment, not a trade for me

I'm new to the market but notice this trend with other big stocks.. A stock I follow closely does the same thing every ER slow build up before ER then drops like a rock. But then bounces right back in 1-2 weeks (or less). Is this just people trading on margins that are selling?

I just don't understand why people sell when historically it's the same pattern and continues to go up over time.

ETA: I guess with that thought process no one would ever sell and have cash.

Some companies are such bellweathers that the market trades on their ER. They buy on the expectation and sell on the news. It’s a pattern.
These are traders that aren’t in longterm. They take big position and trade for short term action.

Jensen Huang presents at CES in Vegas at 4:20PM CST today. Volume on NVDA has been insane today, evidently Huang has issued big news in his keynote at CES in the past.

I'll be keeping an eye on it. If NVDA downturns for lack of big news, I will sell asap because I've been holding a ton of this stock and it really hasn't done much since their last earnings report. may not sell all, maybe 50%.

No way I would sell now. I have held it for 3 or 4 years now, and expect good increases for at least the first half of this year. I may start taking some profit out in 2nd half of the year. I am staying in for now.

When do you predict it gets to $200?

I think it comes down to your conviction of AI and if it is life changing. I believe it’s a huge story over the next 5 years

I think it hits 200 by September. But then again I already sold half of my original shares before it split and made a lot of money
