All comes down to what you are trying to achieve with the MBA...
Career change?
Check the box?
Advance in current role/function?
Building network?
Your answers can greatly impact your decision for which program to pursue.

Nicholls. Might want to rethink that MBA.

I personally think it is admirable and would respect it as a hiring employer (if you completed the program WHILE also working full time). I enjoy hearing stories in interviews about the personal sacrifices that folks made while juggling a full time job and going back to school (either for a Bachelor's Degree or Graduate Degree).
Over the past decade,I have changed my perspective on what I look for in candidates when it comes to MBAs. I have had some employees with "impressive schools on paper" that ended up NOT putting out an impressive job performance because of their lack of people skills or their feeling above putting in the tactical grind work that is sometimes needed to win against competitors.
How much is the tuition? Is your employer giving you any reimbursement?

Tell me you know nothing about Nicholls without telling me you know nothing about Nicholls.
To the OP, the business department is AACSB accredited. Meaning it’s in the top 5% of business schools. The online only and hybrid MBA routes are still in their infancy. Faculty are top notch. I received my online MBA from LSUS but if Nicholls would’ve had the online only option back then I more than likely would’ve gone through that program.

Wait, are you serious ? Admittedly, i dont have an MBA.. and if i were ever going to go back to school and pursue an advanced degree, it’d probably be a JD.. but i have *heard* of some business schools, like the obvious ones- Wharton, Harvard et al.. If what youre saying is true, and Nicholls State is in the top 5% with schools of that ilk- then their marketing/PR dept is absolute trash.. they should be touting that and advertising that to the point where even people like myself are tired of hearing about it, if true .

My apologies as it probably came across different. I meant that out of all business schools globally, only 5% are AACSB accredited. Still a remarkable designation.

I can tell you he can't spell Nicholls. But that went over your head.

Wharton on the Bayou has a nice ring to it

AACSB accreditation is overplayed…any decent school in the states is going to have it. It definitely should not be a deciding factor on school choice….maybe the absence would be a scratch but the inclusion doesn’t distinguish.

I attended LSU, ULL, LA Tech, Southeastern, USM, and Nicholls.
Business major.
Nicholls was as difficult as any.
Southeastern was the only one I cruised through with straight As.
Just my .02.

It really depends on your goals. For a check the box advancement in your current role, it’s probably fine. If you’re trying to pivot to strategy consulting or investment banking…not so much

That is until Wharton comes a knocking with a cease and desist.
Like Harvard probably did with old “Harvard on the Bayou” phrase.

Who are you actually communicating with online? Who is on the other end looking at your input? Is it a syndicated program with a "Nicholls" label on it? Inquiring minds...

Currently in the executive MBA program at Southeastern and enjoy it. 15 months and we meet in person every other Saturday.

Another thing to keep in mind is the experience of the professor in that delivery method. Many seasoned traditional lecture-based professors don’t like and aren’t comfortable with online instruction. For others, that’s all they know and thrive.
