Old news for most folks I'm sure, but trying to do something to contribute to the group, according to chatgpt:
CoreWeave and Nebius are both cloud computing platforms, but they differ in their primary focus, technology, and service offerings. Here's a quick breakdown:
CoreWeave:
Focus: CoreWeave primarily specializes in GPU-powered cloud services. It's known for providing high-performance computing resources tailored for AI, machine learning, and GPU-intensive workloads.
Key Features:
GPU-Accelerated Cloud Infrastructure: CoreWeave offers high-end GPUs (NVIDIA A100s, V100s, etc.) designed for AI, ML, and other computationally demanding tasks.
Scalability: Users can scale resources easily, enabling flexibility for large-scale projects or fluctuating workloads.
Optimized for AI and ML: CoreWeave supports cloud-based machine learning workflows, making it ideal for companies needing heavy computation for training and inference.
Use Cases: AI, machine learning, video rendering, scientific simulations, and any workload that requires heavy GPU usage.
Nebius:
Focus: Nebius is more of a general-purpose cloud computing provider that focuses on simplifying the deployment of applications in the cloud. It's designed to be a versatile and user-friendly platform with an emphasis on multi-cloud operations and containerized environments.
Key Features:
Multi-Cloud Management: Nebius helps companies leverage different cloud environments, streamlining operations across multiple providers (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
Containerization Support: Offers robust support for containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes), making it easier for developers to deploy, manage, and scale applications.
Developer-Focused: Nebius prioritizes developer experience, with easy-to-use tools and automation for managing infrastructure.
Cost Efficiency: Nebius aims to reduce operational overhead and minimize cloud costs through smart resource allocation and management.
Comparison:
Core Focus:
CoreWeave is highly specialized in high-performance, GPU-powered computing for workloads like AI, deep learning, and graphics rendering.
Nebius has a more general cloud computing offering with a strong emphasis on multi-cloud and containerized app management, making it ideal for developers who need flexibility across different cloud environments.
Target Audience:
CoreWeave targets companies and research institutions working on intensive computational tasks, such as AI startups or organizations that need to scale GPU-heavy workloads.
Nebius appeals to developers and businesses seeking flexibility in deploying applications, especially those who are working with cloud-native applications, microservices, or containerized environments.
Performance vs. Flexibility:
CoreWeave is optimized for high-performance computing tasks and would be more suitable for AI/ML workloads.
Nebius is built around flexibility and multi-cloud environments, making it more suitable for applications that need seamless integration and deployment across various cloud providers.
In Summary:
CoreWeave: Best suited for GPU-heavy, high-performance tasks, like AI and ML.
Nebius: Best for developers looking for a flexible, multi-cloud environment and containerized application management.

Coreweave is down 3.5% and Nebius is up 6.5%.
I thought today was supposed to be a big day for CRWV?
Did something come out about the earnings report? Is the negative news about the CORZ acquisition driving this?

Someone tell me it's ok to have half your Roth in cash right now, and that I don't have to make 10% on my money every day.
Posted on 8/12/25 at 10:30 am to bayoubengals88
Relax man, I bought yest, its gonna drop….guaranteed!!!

Dip of the day is occurring, about time to load up….
Don’t go to bed tonight without some calls…CRWV announcing after market close and I can’t see a scenario where it hurts NBIS coming off their earnings

When you're picking what to buy, what's the thought on how far out to buy?
Are the ones due sooner more volatile?
How far in or out of the money?

CRWav loading up right now….if they miss on earnings like I think, but give good guidance, this shite will rocket tomm morning
Might straddle CRWV and load up on NBIS calls at the end of the day

I buy 6 months out to keep for a while, hence my accumulation of Nov calls at $70
Sooner is waaaay more volatile, so I just judge how the stock is going and usually buy a few different call dates that include some soon events that effect the stock (CPI and CRWV earnings today) and some a month or so out to limit the loss if shite happens
I only buy outside the money on short term, but build my long terms at existing prices, even if they might have already got in the money (like those $70 calls for Nov)

NBIS or CRWV?
Well, I think NBIS goes up either way, so I’m looking for my big entry this afternoon. Will be looking at September strike dates in the $80/$85 range
I think CRWV will either crash or go up. Just so unpredictable…look at today for them
My gut is telling me they miss on earnings but give good guidance about the market, so they go down and NBIS jumps at that news
