It bumped after hours yesterday after the price increase was announced so I’m thinking so. But I’m also wrong a lot

Yes, it reflects the consistent supply/demand imbalance. Reinforces the Good news for vendors of compute. Twenty percent price increase is not nothing.

I guess only in this world does jacking up prices excite investors

This is not "inflation". This is supply and demand. You have to realize that not every neocloud can just jack up their prices by 20%. NBIS can do it because of the value added beyond the GPU rental. Value that allows them to charge a premium.

This just reaffirms NBIS is doing it right.

Precisely. It speaks to the efficiency of their full stack product.

up 9% today. Again, technically a NBIS competitor but an inference play all the same

I don't think they compete for customers at all, but I'm glad you keep making money!

Per chat GPT
quote:

TL;DR: The earlier $765–$890 NBIS estimate is too aggressive because it compares current revenue, which isn't the best way to value Nscale. Nscale is targeting roughly a $30B IPO valuation and has ~$103B of contracted revenue. That's about 1.67× its estimated annualized contracted revenue. Nebius has roughly $40B of committed customer contracts. Applying Nscale's ~1.67× contracted-revenue valuation to Nebius: $40B × 1.67 = ~$67B Nebius valuation With ~272M shares outstanding: $67B ÷ 272M = ~$246/share So, using Nscale as the valuation benchmark, I'd put the most reasonable comparable value for NBIS around $240–260/share. For context: • ~$50/share = valuing Nebius on its $7–9B ARR guidance • ~$245/share = valuing it on its ~$40B committed backlog • $765+ = using Nscale's current-revenue multiple, which I don't think is a useful apples-to-apples comparison Bottom line: If Nscale actually IPOs around $30B, ~$250 NBIS would be a reasonable Nscale-relative valuation benchmark.

They have a TON to prove at 30bn
Active power is just 55MW. Nebius is targeting 800 to 1,000 by year end.

Claude:
at $30B, Nscale looks cheap on backlog and very expensive on everything that's already built. The price only works if you believe roughly 95% of its contracted capacity gets financed and delivered on time, mostly from 2027 onward. The peers trade at those multiples with far more of their capacity actually running.

CC @ $250 coming up Friday looking tipsy right now. On Monday I thought I was still good to hold. It may take me out of half my position
