I read where nbis got their permit before the ordinance was initiated. They were suing the city for trying to enforce the ordinance after the approval. So we should not be affected right?

Everything you said is accurate. There has been a lawsuit filed about how the property was bought/sold/bought/sold. The idea is that it changed hands within the span of minutes and was sold for significantly more each time.

My feeling is that the strategy will be to try and kill it with various lawsuits to just keep delaying and delaying. But up to this point all zoning requirements have been met. But there's a lot of pissed off people. And over-the-mountain people have some deep pockets.

Hopefully it's all just noise. But I can't say I'm not worried.

Yea I’ve seen several good photos of that event.

Did you catch the podcast above? If you like to nerd out on AI industry it’s a great one to do so.

I've been following this for a while. The hubbub all over social media from the last 48 hours isn't nebius related. Well, I mean I guess tangentially it is...but not really. The big crowd at city hall yesterday and the vote was how to tackle similar data center zonign going forward, but all parties (even the heaviest of detractors like GBHS) admitted that yesterday was NOT about nebius.

I'm admittedly very ignorant on the topic so can someone tell me why this is illegal? It sold from US Steel to some other company who sold it to another one who then ultimately sold it to Nebius. Nebius ultimately would've gotten the short end of the deal considering they paid a ton more for the parcel than USS sold it for so I don't know what benefit they get here. This happened on two of the smaller parcels owned in the Association btw, not the giant Regions property.

I feel like they are suing because it "feels wrong" to them. Not that anything illegal happened.

Oxmoor Valley residents expand lawsuit over Nebius AI factory, target $90M Milan Parkway land flip

Oxmoor Valley neighbors who first sued to stop construction of a massive Nebius AI data center are now expanding their case, accusing a web of companies of flipping the Milan Parkway site through multiple transactions in about 24 hours to inflate the project’s land cost on paper.

In an amended class-action complaint filed May 25 in Jefferson County Circuit Court, plaintiffs Madelyn Greene and David Butler keep their original claim: that Birmingham violated its own zoning laws when it allowed a 300-megawatt “AI factory” and related power infrastructure to move forward on roughly 79 acres near Lakeshore Parkway

That's not even a nice area of Birmingham. They need to shut up so we can make money.

definitely not.

The latest fear mongering I saw was this map showing everyone who woudl be affected by this project:

I dont' know anything at all about the validity of the claim, but somehow that just doens't seem like it could possibly be accurate.

Sold a CC on OUST and used the premium to snag a 1DTE $225c on NBIS on that spike. Definitely a risky move but flipped it for a little profit on a quick in and out.

Sometimes you just want to feel the rush.

Estimates are different place to place but call it $1.5T in passive exposure to Nasdaq 100.

That’s a lot of demand for shares!

I was hoping we’d get a nice flush so I could add around 175-200.

Barring SpaceX getting smoked tomorrow NBIS and the other names should run. RKLB looks set up nicely just not my vibe.

Huge fricking deal to get added to the Nasdaq. Suck it Paul!
