Off to a slow start, today...

Guess we'll see where the support is...

It looks like the shorters hammer at the open and then start buying back around 10 to 10:30 at the lower cost?

Thats the pattern until it isn’t.

yes, I have actually been holding spreads overnight now for a little while. Beats trying to guess if its gonna get shorted or pop, don't make as much but always turns a little profit with how volatile it is every single morning

I’ve been messing around with long expiry calls and near expiry puts to grind out the volatility. I’m too nervous to do anything shorter that 5DTE though.

I am in a betting mood today and just picked up 3 0DTE calls at 97 for 1.60. Not a big play by most but if we follow the pattern I can make some Christmas cash, if not its socks and underwear .

I picked up 20 0DTE $102c for $0.15 earlier, thinking they might be profitable at some point, today, but its not looking good good.

Jumped in with you for $98s..

Could really use a close around $99-100…

ETA: Got in and out for ~150%. Small trade.

Great play tbh. Wish I had time Friday morning afternoons. Best way to trade this unless you’re buying for long term and holding.

Ready to buy at 72$ again

The IV on NBIS is ridiculous but the price movement has been pretty consistent during this consolation / accumulation.

I’d never risk more than 2% in a trad… gamble like that.

While I agree, I also think the folks trading this thing know it. May get a nice steady green day or two versus the up and down we see. Or not.

Uber ($180B company) went up 4% and NBIS ($24B) went down 3%. I don't think most analysts know about NBIS holdings and many still view them as CRWV Lite....

Tactical short report is in the news.

This guy talks about it in this video.

NBIS Short

Seems like some analysts are lazy and their overall anti-AI sentiment is preventing them from even digging beneath the surface on NBIS.

If the sentiment changes, I hope people start looking at where the money will be made and who is best positioned to be profitable.

When will that happen? That's the million dollar question.

CRWV offering $2B convertible note...

I think it is smart for these players to get these out of the way during this time of volitility and all the shorts in. Once they start popping again, they will have the capital they need for their expansions and all these offerings will be forgotten. Very good long term strategy in my opinion. Just need to weather these storms.

Looks like CRWVers are moving over to NBIS on that announcement this morning, which has already done a LOT of their offerings already and sitting on $6-7B in cash for expansion

I agree. The short report criticizes NBIS for replicating the failed CRWV strategy of leveraging their hyperscale contracts to borrow more money at high interest rates.

Nebius has been proactive all along. Their Vineland facility was already paid for by the time they signed the MSFT deal. As you said, they have a lot of cash on hand for their future build outs, plus other assets they can leverage without borrowing. Their model is not the same. It looks like CRWV is trying to emulate NBIS, now, not the other way around...

just a thought, but describing professional investors as lazy is a pretty lazy take on your part

they might be wrong and we all might be right, but it wont be due to lack of effort or market insight

It's lazy if they report the facts wrong. If they report the facts correctly and interpret them differently, then that is a difference in opinion. They didnt interpret the facts wrong. They interpreted the wrong facts. If they dont know, they should not report it.

Of course, I would be open to the fact that this was a short report and they reported it incorrectly on purpose...

Look at Jim Cramer's reporting on Nebius, as an example. He thought they were an energy company at one point. Lazy. They weigh in on stocks they haven't researched. He'll, I do that, to, but I don't do this for a living, and don't pretend to be a profeßional...

If I remember correctly NBIS offered 1 billion worth of class A shares a few months back somewhere around $90/share so that would make sense. Retail gets frustrated and sells to institutional holders for the next leg up, a tale as old as time. At least I hope that’s what’s happening.

For me, NBIS, IREN and CRWV are much more profitable to day trade at this point. I’m holding a few shares of NBIS but I’ve done really well day trading this trio.
