Most certainly not the objective of my point. Varying viewpoints make the market. I just did not want anyone to think there was breaking news this weekend. There is not. We talked about that some in october when it was announced.

At the time, we were expecting a bump.
Just posted the first page of seeing Alpha. Usually, they are a mixed bag. As of now, they are all positive.

Saw the Indiana data center rumors, that’s good to see.
How do we feel about Google having their own tpu and not needing nvdia chips to run their AI. Any ideas how the data centers adapt to this if ai in future doesn’t need the nvdia chips?
Do we just incorporate googles tpu into our data centers at that point?

The biggest counter point to the $7-9B ARR reporting was the skepticism over whether they would be able to actually execute and deliver on the promise. The point was clear that they could sell out whatever they built, but the question is whether they can successfully build enough compute to reach the goals.
Announcing these data center builds should help reassure the skeptics.

Google uses TPUs as well as Nvidia chips, now.
Ostensibly, NBIS could use Google chips, or AMD chips in their data centers. Does it really matter that much? Are Nvidia chips THAT much better? I think it's almost a brand loyalty to some degree.
Is consistency a factor? I mean, if NBIS decided to build a data center using AMD chips, would there be some design issues with racks, cooling, software, etc?
It seems almost like a similar situation to where people will buy a laptop with an Intel processor over an AMD processor because they don't want to make a mistake by not going with the industry leader.

Correct

Yes it matters, certain chipsets are meant for certain types of computing. Yes, NVDA is that much better today

Not really

To some degree, yes. NVDA is an investor in NBIS and loyal partner. However, Nebius has made it clear that they will provide what their clients want...so, its not on the roadmap today, but they could provide other chipsets in the future, and nothing much would change from a business model or infrastructure to support those chips

There are a few going in around here but I don't know if any are NBIS. The Bessemer one it got city council approval last week but I've heard that might be META..

Thanks for the info.
I only know that AMD is trying to compete with Nvidia with their latest line of chips. I dont know if they have been successful, or not. Apparently, not...

I hope we hold strong around 90 until the end of this week.

The big leap for AMD in their competition with NVDA will be next year with the MI400 and then in 2027 with the MI500. Up until now, AMD has been in rapid development mode and had been focused on other chipset endeavors.
NVDA got a huge lead, having the vision for this AI boom over a decade ago and have been rapidly outdoing themselves and breaking Moore’s Law.
AMD will catch up a lot over the next 18 months from a technology perspective

Anyone know what happened with the Indiana data center? Was that misinformation and it was actually Meta?
