I'm up 513% on AAPL although that wasn't a random purchase.

Years ago I bought some stock in an energy company called Petrohawk and they got bought out by one of the big boys like 2 weeks later for a big premium.

I bought Intuit in 2000 for $36/share. No research, I just knew that Microsoft was out of the personal finance software and Intuit was pretty much it. It's gone up 752% and pays a dividend of 1.28% to my IRA.

I got in PLUG at $4.22 based on a comment to Dave Portnoy on Twitter. It's at $10.56 now

Big fan of plug. Bought the stock in low 4s and ton of $3 leaps for under $2

I actually found and bought GNUS @.34. I turned a friend on to it. I sold @9.00... he held thinking it would be a $50.00 stock one day.

I think he is still holding some of those shares.

Bought 150 NVAX shares at $4.79 Sold 50 shares at $57, but still have 100 shares. Current price is around $150 and got as high as 190 after hours. Been a very fun ride and have been tempted to sell my remaining shares multiple times, but stayed the course.

NIO - a friend who is usually full of shite told me to buy some and for some reason I decided to listen without doing much research. It has worked out pretty well so far

Purchased FANG back in March. Paid 25 or so for it. Sold it a month or two later for 56. Purchased PXD and paid 60 for it. Sold it a month or two later for 109. Purchased CVX for 75 and sold it at 100 in the same time frame.

I went back in and purchased PXD at 96. It now sits at 110 or so.

Every now and again the market gods smile upon you and give you a very rare opportunity to pick up very cheap shares of well run companies.

Bought my first shares Apple at $32.71 - 280 shares. My broker advised me to take the profit and sell half the shares at about $65. I should say my EX-broker.

Got my first UPS shares @ $20 as a management employee before it went public.

Bought a lot of NKLA in March for $17 and sold it for $93. I’ve been daytrading it & using options but am in long term.

I bought $12 options on NVAX a few months ago when the shares were around $11. When the shares got up over $50, I purchased the shares at $12 and held them until $140. Still left a little money on the table since they eventually reached north of $170, but all in all a very good trade.

I bought about $3K it FB when it had that crazy drop about a year ago. I got it at $171 IIRC. I haven’t looked at it until just now and it’s up $100/share

I rarely buy individual stocks so this is my clear winner up to this point.

For me it was CWH.

Had some pre-COVID and it was trending up. Would buy some here and there with extra cash. Bought more when everything tanked in March/April. Cost avg is $9 and it's currently at $35

NVAX in at $16 and out at $58 on a tip. Should have set a stop-loss and let it run.
