Been using them for a year or so now. When I started I think the rate was 2.25%

1.55% still ain’t bad all things considered, so it’s hard to complain that they keep lowering.

It’s typically among the highest savings rates available. I have Citi Accelerate Savings which is also currently at 1.55%. Anyone offering higher rates than either of those usually have conditions attached or are from relatively unknown providers. Seems like a fine option. I do recommend Citi Accelerate Savings, it’s only available in states without physical branches including Louisiana.

I may need to move from Ally.

They all follow the Fed but the downswing is when to pay attention.

Ally is at 1.20%. tsk tsk

I use it for our emergency fund. It was 2.5% 18 months ago when I opened my account.

I have been using them for a while as well to short term hold $$. It was 2.5% when I first signed up as well. Supposedly money is supposed to transfer from/to personal savings account not business account. However, I have been going back and forth to my operating acct with no problem.

Rate was 2.50+ 18 months ago. It has. One down but still better than a regular savings account

We’ve kept our emergency funds with Cap One Performance Savings and have had no issues.
Their rate has been tops or equal to similar competitors when I occasionally review.

I've been pleased with Marcus. One thing I like is that they've recently had two $100 bonus offers (for keeping $10,000 in the account over 3 months) in which existing customers were eligible. Just about every other bank only includes new customers.

As a result, I've earned well over the stated interest rate on my savings.

Moving money back and forth between Marcus savings and my checking account with USAA has been painless, as well.

I wish you could lock in that rate. 2.5% is a great deal just to save money.
