@Menance1069 I agreed with all of comments about MADM 715 with Amy Wren. I had a high B going into the final exam. The final project bumped my grade up to an A. Those exams had very detailed trivial information on them. I am not convinced that the course reading aligned with the exams especially after the open book exam for week 5. There was a lot of information about suing companies and making a case which was not relevant to me. I am not lawyer and I don’t plan on seeing the inside of a courtroom. There was not enough information about how to comply with the law from a management or hr perspective in my opinion. Those readings should have been edited. Adding comments to a published article does not make her a co-author. I thought the final project was a waste of time because I would never have to do that for a job. As far answering emails, I saw that she sent a lot of emails to the class telling people not email her and she complained about her workload too much. Unfortunately the other professor, could teach the course days before it started so I ended up in Wren’s class.

I graduated on May 10, 2019. I received my diploma on May24. The MBA assessment is not required.

I took Lin for ISDS 705. When I took it, there was no group project and no interaction whatsoever. The grade consisted as 3 exams. The readings were very technical and the test were detailed with trivia. One sheet of notes front and back was allowed for the tests.

@mizzou_hoss In the past, ISDS 715 has been offered in the Spring. If you saw the course being offered at another time and it is full, contact your MBA advisor and ask to be added to the course. After taking ISDS 715 with Hennigan, I was able to pass the CAPM exam online offered through the Project Management Institute.

The problem with Khan isn’t so much the material – it’s that his interpretation of the material on tests differs from the objective facts he actually teaches in his lectures and the textbook. I truly believe that Khan offers a great class where you can learn a TON about marketing if you spend the time necessary. He does a great job of relating current events and different companies to the material. Now turning that knowledge into a good grade? That’s the tough one. The issue isn’t the material though, it’s his questions on the test. From my experience, he has roughly 60-70% of the questions that are clear. What I mean by this, is that the question is clear, and there is a clear answer if you know the material. The problem occurs with the other 30-40% of the questions. It’s not so much that there are “multiple answers”, it’s that the question can be interpreted multiple ways. Being that he generally has five answer selections, three answers can easily be thrown out. Now, it’s up to you to determine how HE feels the question should be interpreted and select the correct answer. Of course, he will never admit to this and continuously defend how it’s his students fault for misinterpreting the question during his exam reviews (especially the ones where only 20-30% of the class got the question right). However, when a C is the average grade, it’s time for the instructor to look at himself.
Best. Answer. Ever.

Hi All,
I am registering for Fall Courses. I have the followings pairs signed up for:
AP1
MADM 701 - McLaughlin, Erin
MKT 701 - Darrat, Aadel
Optional for Fall - Econ 705 - Fawaz, Fadi (Considering taking & swapping out for one of the above if needed)
AP2
ISDS 710 - Darrat, Mohamad
MADM 720 - Williams, Kimberley
Has anyone taken the above course together?
Are these courses workload heavy? What kind of coursework is included?
Thank you!

How do I get a down vote on my response?
Trolls.

Damn trolls. I’m in MKT with Khan currently, I find it pretty silly and unorthodox for a professor to have you read chapters from a marketing text and then distribute his own “opinion” of it that completely contradicts the material in the text....never seen this type of $hit. It’s like he writes his own version but completely changes concepts and definitions.

Thanks for the details. This is a great help. What other classes did you take? I'm in my 3rd semester. Took ISDS, ACCT701, and currently taking FIN701. My major is general studies. Any advice is appreciated.

Is there a lot of math involved in ISDS 730?
Posted on 6/1/19 at 1:14 pm to saints5021
Don't go to LSUS but if you do take Organizational Behavior at another school. The classes are large and the class uses assistant professors. In my group there were over 30 when the class began. When i left there were three left in my group and I don't know if they withdrew too.
It is ridiculous.

Pretty frustrating class overall for sure.

I’m in MKT 701 with Khan and failed my test. Does anybody know how to study for his tests?
It is my last class, and I’m super frustrated. Spend tons of time to drill the book, but have a hard time to apply the information to the tests.
Any advice will be appreciated.

Anyone currently in ACCT 701with Ambrosio please reply-
I have a question about how the Balance Sheet and Income data is presented for certain problems in the assessment tests. Due to a vision issue I see it one way and Dr Ambrosio sees it differently. Would like to know how it appears to you.
Many thanks

You need to read the PowerPoint - I am doing fine on the test but he gave me very low grade on the writing part
Posted on 6/3/19 at 4:01 pm to tasha13
@tasha - not really - all i can say is watch his lectures several times and make a lot of notes. It seems like he has us read the text chapters for fun, because his powerpoint lectures completely contradict/change from what is in the textbook. its obvious that most of the class is struggling with 3-5 of his questions each week, as they have multiple correct answers or no true correct answer. The only thing i can say is thank goodness we are close to half way through.
