Seem like ISDS 705 with Lin is going to be tough.

Is AP2 full?
I don't see any openings in any classes except the prereqs.

Is there anyone in MADM710 (Kungu) this upcoming session that can confirm whether if ProctorU is being used instead of Proctorio? Appears he used ProctorU last session he taught. Would prefer to take him over Williams if Proctorio is being used. ProctorU was just too much a nightmare to get setup from prior experience with ACCT701 last year.
TIA for any help.

The time to register online is over I believe. (May be why you're seeing that). May want to try emailing/calling if trying to add course.

I concur with DD, I’ve read the first 6 chapters already for ISDS 705 and the material is simple. Plus, he allows one note sheet for the exam (front and back). Don’t fret.

Note sheet. You guys will be fine. Fire up that printer at 8-point font and you're all set.

I was a bit worried about the change to ISDS 705 until I saw the note sheet. A double sided note sheet should be fine and at least he isn’t requiring something as archaic as hand written. I believe that too many people were talking about how his class was just a Ctrl-F course and let’s be honest... while I’d love an instant A without any work whatsoever, as a student, what will I learn from something like that? Seems he made the change to force people to at least read the book and take some notes, which hopefully will generate some learning and changed the course from an instant A to an easy A (hopefully). That said, I’ll be upset if I end up with a B!

Yes, I'm feeling a little less stressed about ISDS702 after looking at the syllabus. The first week is all practice--exam and homework don't count. I assume that's to let everyone get a good feel for the format and what's expected.

I have that uneasy feeling about ISDS 702 also.

You guys should be good to go with a cheatsheet in ISDS. Agreed with @Skipdogs type up a cheat sheet of definitions, make the font really small and you should be good. Good luck with the changes!
1 more day of "vacation" left. Then back to the grind of sleepless nights. And getting closer to the finish line.

Hi! I will start this course tomorrow and it's the first in my MBA program. Do you have any pointers regarding the first writing assignment? I'm a little confused about what to expect.

@pro
Which course?

Hi ProSocial,
I had Heller. The writing projects are variable in content, length, and difficulty. I had a hard time getting into a rhythm. My suggestion is that you work on the projects as soon as possible.

am I reading this right? This entire course consists of 3 tests?? no other assignments, quizzes, papers, etc?
Posted on 7/2/18 at 3:09 pm to zachtiger
That's how it's always been, or since I was in the program.

Anyone here in MADM751 w/ me right now? Wondering if anyone has the "Optional" texts they are able to share. I would prefer to read over watch the videos. Cheers

I also saw a lot of responses about how rough ISDS 710 was, so I was a bit worried about that as well. I'm looking to double spec Marketing and DA, so ISDS 710 is a critical course for me as it is viable towards both.
ISDS710 was not really rough. It was a disappointment to those of us who wanted more of a data analytics class and found ourselves in a marketing class. However, if you are double spec in Marketing/DA, that will be right up your alley.
I think the class was about 3-4 hours per week of work. The issue was the difficulty of the final exam, which felt like a really bad curveball at the end based on the content and structure of the class overall.

Good to see some other people in ISDS702 this session also. I'm hoping the quizzes are open book. I took a very similar class in undergrad, essentially it was a stats class for doing social science research work. The material can get very dense and lots of math, not hard stuff conceptually like multi-variable calc, but long painstaking math.
I'm also doubled up with FIN710, which is looking a bit more scary than ISDS702. The summer/fall of 2018 is stacking up to be quite a doozy for me.
