How is ISDS 715? Was thinking of taking it as an elective this summer? The only reasoning was at least it would force me to get another certification because you may as well devote that time to studying for your PMP while you're in the class.

Thank you to those who responded about Meeks 760 and the APA format. It helps put my mind at ease with all my writing classes still ahead of me. Thank you!

Joeskee,
Some folks on the previous page were talking ISDS 715.
The PM concentration here will give you the 35 education hours so you can sit for the exam.
Not sure if that’s what you had in mind or if you knew that was necessary for the PMP

I got a high A. I did put a lot of effort and thought into it though, happy with the outcome not necessarily the road getting there.

My grade was posted tonight as well. Not quite as high as I had hoped, but honestly the grade reflects the effort. I'm just ready for this class to be behind me.

MADM 701 (Knotts) grades are posted.

Can't believe next week is it. Loving the 7 week structure.

Will try FT status for next term; ISDS 705 & MADM 715. Really trying to walk in December

To everyone who has taken ISDS705, Lin has posted some content in Moodle already but it has me concerned.

I am registered for Lin in AP2 but have seen now that he has posted ProctorU information, meaning that the exams are proctored. Has this always been the case? I understand many have done well in this class by taking his 3 (looks to still be the case) exams by searching pdfs. Were the pdfs provided by Lin? I am concerned that the format has changed given the new textbook policy (i.e. not having one) and now the proctorU element. I doubled up next semester specifically with ISDS705 due to the feedback here.

TigerDragon,

I took ISDS705 in the Fall and his tests were proctored then as well. In the Fall, he adjusted the rules on proctoring to allow open book, open notes and other windows open on the computer during the test.

Hope this helps.

Cool, thanks for the info. Was the textbook/materials provided by Lin or one that you had to purchase?

I recall having to buy the book in a PDF format. Maybe he will adjust this to where he provides some type of written document, but that is just me speculating. I will be interested to hear how he adjusts to the new policy.

Thank you. My luck he will provide scanned pdfs (non searchable).

Same situation here, hoping for a breather between MADM701 and MKT701.

The ISDS 705 textbook was posted in this forum (pdf). Also, his tests are proctored but open book. That's if the format doesn't change.

See page 177 for book. Sorry if im out of touch with a policy change. Hope this helps.

ISDS 705 was proctored when i took it. Proctor U however was not fun was a slow process to get started. Lin allows everything including the kitchen sink to be used on his test. I had a laptop open separate from my CPU with the PDF version of the book to take the test. The proctor u instructor questioned that every time but once they went back and checked his (Lin) instructions they would see he permitted the usage. Hopefully the class has not changed.

I ended up with a high A as well on project 1. Ive still yet to get half way on part 2. I wonder what the average on the paper was... I would be upset with the amount of work put into the paper if I didn’t come away with a decent grade.

I have already submitted my part 2 and still haven't received my grade for the first part yet. I find it unfair for some people to have to wait 4 days after others already have their grades
