I have my degree hanging in my office now. People just see the "Louisiana State University" in big letters and pay no attention to the "Shreveport" below in smaller font.

Very cool! Congrats again.

Socal77: Reading your post made me smile. Ive been a member on this forum for less than a year but have seen many of your post as well as other good members that have graduated and helped me along the way. I cant wait for the day to see my degree hanging in my office! One more year!

signa7, thanks for your message. Before you know it you'll be graduating and holding that heard-earned degree! I highly recommend traveling to Shreveport to march if you can. It was a wonderful experience to meet fellow students and our professors.

Small World. Mobile is my home town. I was just there for Christmas.

Aurebelman what high school did you go to? I went to Theodore.

And regarding the question about why I chose LSUS...My sentiments are the same as others. Accreditation, Cost, and <1 year commitment if I double up my classes. Like many others, I have been in my career for 10 years, my network is solid and I see no need to go $40K+ in debt for a graduate education. I got tricked into that game with my undergraduate degree. Fool me once....

@joeskee2000 emphasis on a lot! haha. This is my first class though so I still need to level set on expectations. I am going to use the next week to get a jump start on reading the chapters. (Un)Fortunately, I was recently promoted and I start in a new role on the 22nd. So, I can foresee 2018 consisting of nothing but learning and absorbing and a handful of epic meltodown . But it will be worth it!

Thanks for the heads up. Interestingly, I'm scheduled to take it with Williams but I see it all posted as well. I'm guessing that, despite a different instructor being listed in my schedule, it's all one combined course with different instructor's overseeing the grading of their respective TA's.

Workload is about to increase for me as well...this is my 7th class including the 2 Foundation classes and I can already tell this one may be the most time consuming thus far. Outside of the foundation classes, I've done FIN 701, ECON 705, ACCT 701, ISDS 705...out of those 4 ISDS 705 I should have paired with another class, ACCT 701 was busy work along with ECON 705, FIN 701 took quite a bit of work and practice each week.

MADM701 with Knotts looks similar to last terms MADM752 class.

Nothing looks like a crazy time suck and the weekly 500 word writings along with a quiz are typical. We had a 4 part project in 752, so that's the same too.

This really doesn't look any worse than the typical MADM class. She's not my favorite teacher in the program by far, but this shouldn't be too horrible.

I took MADM 701 with Williams and it was the biggest time consumer of all the classes. That said, you just bang out the writing assignments and the A is very attainable.

Alternate section (not James) for MKT701 still shows TBA. They're sure taking their time identifying a prof for this class...I hope this gamble pays off

In December, before I switched sections, I contacted James about the text used (I wanted to get a head start) and she told me there will be no text for the class, that all the materials will be made available to the students at no charge.

I’m also waiting to see what the mkt section will look like.

By any chance has anyone taken the isds702 with Ahmet before? There is no syllabus or anything up in noodle still.

I think this is his first time teaching it. He has positive reviews on RMP though. Since ISDS 702 isn't required anymore I don't think many here have taken it/plan on taking it. I'm enrolled in it and noticed the same thing. Hopefully he will post something soon.
