Ended up with a 77 on ACCT test 1.Skipped all the ratio problems until dead last and then cherry picked the easy ones until time ran out. There's absolutely no way someone TRULY aced that test.

Just finished the test as well and got a "C". damn that thing was brutal. went down to the last minute like everyone else. A couple of questions I was doing right but must have entered wrong inputs into my calculator because I got the wrong answer. Errors like this fall solely on the fact that I was trying to work every problem as fast as humanly possible. Glad that is over, and I look forward to the final having a full hour.

I bet those 100% test takers are getting a little nervous..

Taking the ACCT test tomorrow morning. The 50 points is re-assuring but I expect to do poorly. Whatever happens I love all ya'll lol.

I would love to see a class grade distribution before the extra credit.

Winchester
We love you too man. And just say a prayer and ask the Good Lord to guide you; you got this!

You got this Winchester!
When I got to a question that I knew took awhile to calculate, I guessed at an answer and flagged it to come back to it. Just so I had an answer down for everything. When I got to the end I had 18:12 left and 7 flags. I had just come up with the answer for my 5th flag when time expired. Im sure some people can work faster than I can so I don't think it's impossible to get a 100 without cheating but you'd have to be absolutely precise on every calculation without any time spent reworking or rereading a problem. When you are working that fast, it's really difficult to not make any mistakes.

I wish I would have waited until after his email before taking the exam. He basically told you which questions to avoid if you want to have time to finish.
I answered all of those time consuming questions during my exam. I could have certainly done better if I would have avoided them to the end.

I also took it before his post and that info certainly would've helped but I think 50 points is generous. I actually thought the different inventory method questions took the longest.

Those did take a while.
It is what it is now. Time for #2. Fortunately, I had a 99% average going into the exam. Now I'm down to a 93. I've got to be able to find a way to hang on down the stretch.

I think we're smooth sailing the rest of the way. The 3 module topics arent as difficult as the past ones and no way he makes the final as tough as the midterm... Gotta keep that professor rating up.

Thanks Brent for the advice.
I'm taking the exam tonight or tomorrow.

The ACCT exam had way more calculations than what I was expecting. With the extra points I have a really high B. Really counting on the assessments to bring my grade up to an A by the end. He also said the final should be easier than the mid-term for whatever that's worth.
My strategy was to scroll through and answer the ones I knew I was comfortable with. I also had formulas ready to go for the multiple calculation problems. Still, much more than I expected. I timed out with all questions answered/guessed. I feel like some of that stuff was barely touched on though.

I'm working on my schedule for the remaining program. I have 4 classes remaining.
I'm thinking of pairing Econ 705 and ISDS 705 this coming term. That will leave me with FIN 710 and ISDS 715 (Project Management) in the spring first session.
I'm not sure how I feel about this. I've heard that ECON is the hardest and ISDS is one of the easier courses.
The project management course seems interesting but is unproven in it's difficulty.
Thoughts?

I'm enrolled in both and would appreciate opinions as well.

I am enrolled in those same classes next semester as well. The only reason I am doing it is because I plan on doubling until I'm finished next spring and I want to pair the easiest class (ISDS 705) with what I think will be my hardest class (ECON). From what I hear ISDS is supposed to be the least time consuming and least mentally demanding course in the program.

I will also be in ISDS 705 with yall. Ive taken ISDS 702 and thought that was an excellent class and I have heard that 705 is not too difficult.
Ive already taken ECON 705 (Shaunnessey im assuming) and my advice is to just make sure you get ahead early. The first 3-4 weeks are pretty basic (easy) but the last few weeks are definitely rough but doable. It is the only B I've made in the program thus far.

Well, crap. There are no more seats available for ISDS next term. That sucks.

Yeah I believe ISDS 705 filled up pretty quickly with folks looking to double up. Per a discussion in one of my current courses, students who have taken it said not to worry about the difficulty because it's not bad at all. Exams are proctored but notes and other resources can be used
