MBA2k19 are you actually registered for 3 classes? I thought the max the school would allow was 2 in one semester.
Those three are doable. I would say they are easier courses but you will still be pretty busy. 720 and 760 each require a weekly ZOOM meeting with your team as well editing a shared powerpoint, roughly a 1500+/- word minimum writing assignment each week and "term" papers at the end of each course. Pretty easy and straightforward stuff but if you are doing them both you will be at it constantly.

From Ambrosio...
Some of you have asked for help or a study guide for Exam 1 and this is what I have decided to do to offer help.
1. The Module 4 Wrap Up video will give you the exact composition of the exam. I will tell you how many questions come from each Module and what, more or less, to study.
2. I have selected the 6 most difficult questions from the exam and created a practice exam with just 6 questions. Each of the six questions in the practice exam is very much alike each of the 6 most difficult questions in the exam. The practice exam is optional. It is not graded. It is not timed. You can take it as many times as you'd like. Although it will not help you with all the 20 questions on the exam, it will adequately prepare you for the most difficult 6 questions.
The practice exam will be available as part of Module 4 after you complete the Module 4 quiz and watch the Module 4 wrap up video.

Does anyone know what the maximum Turnitin acceptable percentage is? I just submitted my paper for MKT701 and it came out at 20% and it's all based on my cited material. Each one of the items is cited in my paper which means that it obviously came from elsewhere. Is this something that once I submit in Moodle I can recall, fix and resubmit for a new turnitin score? The paper will certainly lose meaning without the cited work.

If I remember correctly, they said 10% similarity was the max via email when someone asked in the past, although I could be wrong.

I haven't taken MKT 701 yet, but the max turnitin percentage is 10% for other courses. Try re-wording what you paraphrased to get the score down.

Yes, I am registered for three courses. The school actually allows you to take 15 credits per traditional semester. That is why I asked if anyone else has ever done it. I will have to determine if I will be able to take all three and still have my sanity, especially if two of the classes are time consuming.

I am down to 12% and that is with the Header of the study case name "Running head: NETFLIX INC.: THE SECOND ACT" and properly cited material that only has two repeated words in it.
EDIT/UPDATE: Finally got it down to 10% and it's all properly cited material. The meat of the report is all mine and is not flagged at all. I would be interested in hearing their rationale for the percentage. To flag the title and references which many people will undoubtedly have is ridiculous. The case title is the assigned case title for 350+ students in this session alone.

Glad you were able to get it down. I didn't even bother putting a heading & all that nonsense on mines. Didn't see the need to since it wasn't stated anywhere that I read from the materials the professor gave us that it was required. Time to do a little bit more studying for his exam now.
EDIT: I completely forgot that it's part of the header for the APA format, guess I have to go back in & re-edit it...

Any one completed Fin701 Exam 2 ?, the study guide is making me nervous.. especially the problems are too intense..

I am just finishing up reading Ch 8 for the next FIN701 exam. Am I the only one actually reading every page of the book? I feel like a lot of people are just looking at the study guide. I did the homework problems for Ch 5 and Ch 7 and they weren't too bad. I haven't started on the practice problems yet though.

I don't read the text, which could be why I made a C on the last exam. But I really need a higher score for this exam , and the Gordon growth model is discouraging me. The math in this section is killing me, plus it takes forever to work them out.

I'll be taking it tomorrow morning before the Saints kick Brady's arse. The math isn't tricky to me but I was a Finance undergrad and my MBA specialization is in it as well. For this module, I find the terms are harder to find in the guide.

I use the study guide to make a outline of what he wants us to learn and then I read and take notes on every chapter also. It takes some time but i feel like i have to to get it all together. Im worried about the BSOP problems. I can do them but I dont know about on the test and being fast.

@ashl3yc0x
In my view focus on the reading guide takes care of all questions, atleast in Exam 1 all of them were from there and i got no maths, so essentially it was a find and then read/understand the concept and respond in your own lines.. intact due to short time i ended up copying exact same wordings as per text book for some answers and i was graded 90% so the main goal is to ensure the box is not blank

I plugged the #'s in excel so now its a matter of changing the numbers from the questions, it took me 6 hours to pen it down and understand the concept but its easier this way now xls will calculate if all values are properly inputted. if you want i can flip the xls that i made, hope that helps

i keep filling his shortcuts while reading the guide so theres no disconnect, at times they are but difficult to understand but reading the same section in book help to bridge that gap, best of luck for your exam tomorrow and pls guide/share whatever you can :)

quote:I'm also reading it all and occasionally taking notes when I feel I hit a section that could produce a decent test question. However, chapter 8 feels like a blur for me. (I especially like how the chapter has said on at least 4 occasions, "This specific topic is too in depth for this book. Just take our word for it and shove it into the equation.")
Am I the only one actually reading every page of the book?
I'm nearly done with it and will spend the rest of tomorrow reading chapter 9 and working / re-working problems and practicing my self-made concept questions.
I'll do more of that on Monday and take it that night or maybe Tuesday morning before work.

Yes Perry_g5
That would be awesome if you wouldn't mind! I did find that the toolkit has the formula in excel for the black schole problems.

Just took FIN 701 exam. Only 3 math problems and none dealt with BSOPM or Binomal. All qualitative questions were easily found in RG. Good luck to the rest of y'all

Assum 9BREES9
those 3 maths questions, were they close to the RG or extra practice or something unrelated, if u can shed more light on it would be helpful.
