Louisiana State Tax Return

I had my taxes done and was E-filed 4 weeks ago. I received my Federal return about 10 days later but still haven't received my State return. Is anyone else experiencing delays? For those who have received their return, how long did it take?

Haven’t received mine either. Might be delayed with all of this going on. The cyberattack months ago may have put them behind a little bit as well. I’m not worried, it’s not much and I’ll eventually get it. Under the current circumstances I understand the delay.

When you go to the state's website to check the return's status ... what does it tell you the status of it is?

Filed on 2/5. Received Federal on 2/24 and LA on 3/4. Right before all the chaos started.

You file a return and get a refund if you overpaid.

State website has a "where's my refund" feature. Try it and see what info it gives you.

It says on their website it takes "up to 45 days" and believe me, they take 6 weeks...
I just did mine in anticipation I wont see it for a very long time.

E-filed Federal and State on 2/29/20. Federal refund received on 3/16/20, state received 3/31/20.

Lucky bastards. I’ve owed the state for 10 years straight now lol. I thought that was pretty common.
