Yeah yeah. The majority of those were before I was with the place where I was employed. You might notice I've been here since Jan 2004.
I've put my work in Hog fig.

Powerman, I've always thought you to be one of the more intelligent folks on this site but did you ever finish your degree (might be thinking of someone else who was discussing one time about finishing?).
That piece of paper will get you in a door sometimes before experience (as wrong as that is), but someone else had good advice about you contracting yourself out - solid workers find plenty of work as a contractor. Good luck with everything.

yep, indeed and linkedin seem to be the only career websites even worth looking at. And anything decent on monster/careerbuilder will be on indeed anyway
(I've been jobsearching over 6 months now... so maybe my advice isn't the best... but I think I'll have a new job in the next month or so)

You would be right. I don't know if I'm going to finish my EE degree but I'm definitely going to look into furthering my skill set in the next couple months via some job training courses like Primavera Scheduling and such.
If I go back to school I think I'm going to just start over with industrial engineering.

I know several planner/schedulers with Turner who have gone through their "Planning Bootcamp" and they say they learned a ton about Primavera and other scheduling tools that way. Maybe that is something worth looking into? I'm not sure if other companies or schools offer that, I've just heard it's a good learning experience.

Good to know. I actually worked for Turner in 2002 as a construction hand. I don't know if that will help me at all with them.

I have an updated resume but it probably needs some tweaking. About 4.5 years experience in a white collar construction job in the petro-chem industry. Any advice would be appreciated.
Contact info? I have a recruiter friend in the petro-chem industry.

I can email you my resume. If you can pass it on to your friend that would be a big help.
Thanks

I'd do that.
On a related note, I'm pretty sure I know you. Want to say I may have had a EE class or 2 with you a long time ago. Did you used to have some screen name like AU hater or something?

Check out my wife's firm Burns and McDonnell here in Houston. It is employee owned, and they do pretty well.

Well looks like that didn't last long
Interview today went well and they're going to make an offer
Another interview in TX on Tuesday
Might have 2 jobs to pick between
