That dude is a miserable Debbie Downer SOB. I want all sunshine and rainbows when talking about LVVV. He’s that guy when you buy a lotto ticket and you’re talking about all of the stuff you’ll buy with your winnings. He comes along and tells you the odds of winning are next to none. Let’s us dream without bursting our bubbles.

Sold a third of my shares yesterday at .03; was able to drop about 30k shares at a slight gain

I have no faith in LVVV at all; the more I learn, the more ridiculous I feel about having had so much money tied up in this stock while the rest of the market boomed over last quarter but I'm starting to consider just playing the pumps; if it goes under .025 again; I might buy back those shares and dump again over .03.

I'll hold onto $500 or so if I want to play the long game, doesn't make much sense to me to have more than that tied up if you are trying to catch a 300-500% gain. You could get back in a .08 and if it gets to .2; you are still making huge gains. Also just want to have my finger on the pulse of the mood of "let's talk LVVV"

I'll never forgive myself for loving OGRMF, a much more legit and promising stock I've been following since 2017; and having the same amount invested as I did in LVVV as it went from $3.10 to $7 in 4 months.

Back to "Let's talk weed stocks"

I was reading over the weekend that Cronos is focusing on producing thc without growing the plant somehow. Basically all the money Altria invested in them last month (2 billion+) is all geared towards this goal, so that's why they are losing their arse on earnings.

Very interesting play; you gotta think Altria has faith it will work. They are taking a pharmaceutical approach and trying to produce the active ingredients and not the plant.

quote:

He told callers that investors shouldn't focus on production of bulk dry flower, but on the volume of cannabinoid active ingredients. Emulating the pharmaceutical or consumer packaged goods industries, Gorenstein wants to make pre-roll smokes and not just raw material.

"Our business model is not to be the farmer," he said. "Our focus will be on making the cheese, instead of raising and milking the cow."

The company's biotech venture will seek to use existing fermentation facilities to produce eight of the active ingredient cannabinoids, otherwise found in the plant. The best known cannabinoids are THC, the stuff that makes you high, and CBD, which soothes and relaxes you.

Few analysts seem to share that vision, with the majority of Cronos stock ratings at a Hold or Sell.

Disclaimer: That what I gathered from the articles I was reading just before earnings; I could be completely off base here.

Eta: I have about 2k of cronos I bought at 20.50, just because the Altria announcement last month. I guess I could see this stock dropping alot more to the 10-15 dollar range it was in for so long. But this is such different approach. I might just hold it long for diversity within the cannabis industry. I have faith that Altria would be an amazing partner to have for this product.

I know enough about business frick being the farmer. you want to own products not the commodity side of things for biggest gains. dry flower prices keep declining as industry grows

To each his own - no one should park their money in a place they aren't comfortable.

But just curious...

If you look at what is expected between now and around the end of the summer - revenue gets reported for Coachella, Paso Robles buildout is reported periodically, then they get the state license there, then they start showing photos of a large nursery full of plants, etc...

Is it that you don't think those things are going to happen, or you think it happens but the price doesn't explode?

I appreciate your conviction TigrrrDad; and I'll ride a few thousand shares for sure so I'm not really hating. I'm also willing to jump back in if I see the right moment.
I don't see LVVV failing or anything like that. They will probably get uplist eventually, since apparently it is very easy to achieve. Paso Robles looks tiny, but they can still probably pull money from that op if they have some license advantage; however I'm not an expert on grow ops so who knows.
The thing is, I just don't see a catalyst for the explosion in stock price that makes the risk and daily volatility worth it. It would have to be something that comes from the events on the horizon which is possible; but why have my money parked there when that's not gonna happen anytime soon. Their twitter and releases really turns me off; it always comes off as catering to a 15-25 yo audience which is pointless.

Real Long term; whats the play? Gotta be a Buyout right? What kind of price point could we expect with a buyout? It's way too early to tell; it could turn into something. I currently just feel its more likely, I could dip in again in December for like .035

It’s actually pretty big for a clone operation. Keep in mind that even a 320 sq. ft. pod can crank out 16,000 clones every 3-4 weeks, and Paso Robles will have over 10,000 sq. ft. of nursery space (for mothers & clones).

But you’re right in that there will probably still be multiple opportunities to get back in and still make money this year.

I see it constantly mentioned that buying LVVV is like buying a lottery ticket. I see it more like playing blackjack. You have to bet big to win big. Some days you win, some days the dealer wins. The important thing is to set a number when to walk away. You play the lottery with money in amounts you don't care about. You play blackjack with amounts you are comfortable risking.

Playing the lottery with lvvv would be like owning 1,000 to 10,000 shares and not giving a rats arse even if it gets to 10 cents.

It's gambling, Tigerrdad is counting cards, igoringa knows they are going to shuffle the deck.

I look it at the same but I'm not near what others are in. I bought $150 of shares just to get in on it. It ever makes it to .20 I'm at $1500. Ever makes it to $2 I'm at 15k. I'm not looking to make my entire retirement on this thing, that's a sweet potential payoff for upfront change. I may even grab a little more at some point.
