Good time to buy In my opinion. It jumped 80% today and with many states closing restaurants and only allowing takeout I cant see how they wont make a fortune the next few weeks

Depends on the length of these state restrictions on restaurants. But yes, I wouldn't buy in for the long term

Edit: its now up 92% today

Short term for sure. My wife works for them and every move corporate has made since going public has been a disaster in one way or another.

Now that all drivers are forced to contract almost all of them are delivering for waitr, grubhub, and doordash at the same time. Her last delivery driver shift on Saturday she saw a guy with a waitr shirt, grubhub hat, and doordash bag.

They all need to merge to one entity. And that was the hope in buying Waitr. They get acquired by grub hub or door dash. At $.40 it’s market cap was stupid low. Like $30 million. So it was a dice roll for buyout or bankrupt. Coronavirus may save them. Though I’m not sure how I personally feel about ordering from Waitr right now so I don’t know if the hype is justified

It’s trading at $0.83/share in after-hours trading right now, up 51% since the market closed today.

Waitr is now at $1.76 up 125% today. Glad I bought in low. This stock alone is saving my portfolio

It won’t be enough to save them. I’m not going to short what is essentially a penny stock, but they’re going bankrupt.

Most companies are waiving delivery fees and a lot of restaurant are trying to drive traffic to their own restaurants using hourly staff to deliver to keep them busy.

Not saved, but the stock is riding off of sector momentum

Play it smart and to your advantage here, I wouldn't be a long but scalping opportunities are present

I saw a $6.00 target. No fricking way.

But, I’m going to pretend buying 2000 shares today at $1.67. Seeing that most everything I touch goes to shite, hopefully it retreats a bit tomorrow, then I’ll buy.

I got 120 shares at 1.66 today. Trying to decide if I should just dump it soon and make a few bucks or hope that it continues to rise.

In 6 weeks, Waitr and Blue Apron (+175% today) are going to resume their rightful place in the crapper.
