Not sure if it’s redundant to have both and I can just delete one. Also I read about Binance. I don’t know what that is, but do I need app for that? I tried a Binance US app but it’s not legal in Louisiana apparently.

Looking to put a little money into crypto and just unsure of how to go about getting money into these wallets. Can I not link it to my bank account? If so I guess credit card is only option. Also if I have actual cash is there anyway to put that into wallets? TIA

With Coinbase and Coinbase Pro you can just link you bank account. With the trust wallet it is a bit more difficult as you have to buy elsewhere and send to that wallet.

Coinbase...Buy XLM...Send to Kucoin...swap xlm to usdt. then usdt to bnb. Send bnb to trustwallet.

Best thing for you is to educate yourself before making any moves. Don't t expect anyone to spoonfeed you. If you can't do the research, don't throw money into it.

Thanks and I’ve been trying. Not getting too crazy will start out with some more known ones and maybe little amounts in stuff like gamecoin and other wildcards as I get more comfortable. But the post above yours is what has kept me from getting into it sooner. I assume the guy is joking but that’s what I read a lot of and it looks like Greek to be honest. I have the coinbase wallet and don’t see anyway to link a bank account. Maybe I’ll try coinbase pro to see if any different. Thanks again

Think of a crypto wallet as your wallet. How does money get in your wallet, probably from a bank/atm. Well you need to have a funding mechanism for crypto like coinbase/kucoin/voyager, etc.. That is where you fund your account on an exchange.

Start with coinbase and link your bank account. Use coinbase pro so you can spend your money as you would on a stock exchange with limit orders, etc..

You can use wallets for more secure storage or transfer. Just be use of what your trying to get into due to fees.

I have coinbase pro now and have linked my bank account. But I don’t see anywhere on app of how to transfer funds from my bank to coin base wallet.

You'll have to setup a regular coinbase account too.

Bank>cb>cb pro>kucoin>wallet

Cb is where you onramp your fiat, but the fees are ridiculous, so you will want to use pro for trading and/or withdrawing.

Eta: Fyi...when you go to move it from cb to pro, you will do it from pro. That throws a lot of people off.

If you’re having trouble putting money in maybe it’s because you didn’t upload your vax card yet. I uploaded mine and got free crypto because I have both moderna and Pfizer

Is it that easy? I had a friend telling me how much of a pain in the butt it was to buy/convert to BNB. How much do you lose in gas or transfer fees doing it that way? If I wanted $200 BNB in Kucoin, what's a rough estimate on how much XLM to purchase initially? Louisiana based here as well, sure would be nice if Binance just worked.

I don’t have a dog in this fight, or even wandering around this neighborhood. But why in the world would this spot on post get downvoted???

I gave you specific instructions like you asked. Why would I be joking?

You’ll need a VPN for using Binance in Louisiana.

My bad clearly you weren’t joking. I think you have 7-8 acronyms if not more listed in your steps and I’ll have to google most, if not all of them. This stuff is kind of overwhelming trying to start out in. I have no contact to school me up on any of it. I am trying to learn but every time I try to read up on it I seem to find out there’s all kinds of new stuff I have to learn. It’s just a lot. Maybe it’s just not for me.
