I introduce to you the Coinbase killer, FairX.

This exchange is supposed to provide fiat to coin transactions far cheaper and faster than Coinbase. And, oh yeah, it’s using Stellar for its international currency exchanges. Why? Because it’s cheaper, faster, and more useful than any other coin.
Get your Lumens while you can. FairX is expected to roll out as early as late Junuary. Follow them on twitter for updates.

FairX application is run from the IBM Blockchain Platform on Hyperledger Fabric and was built in collaboration with Stellar.org (a non-profit organization and associate member of Hyperledger), and KlickEx Group (a regional financial services company in the Pacific region).
This innovation and collaboration will become a milestone for Stellar XLM as well as the financial technology.
FairX Supports:
Cross-asset payments
Suppose you are holding sheep and want to buy something from a store that only accepts wheat. You can create a payment in Stellar that will automatically convert your sheep into wheat. It goes through the sheep/wheat order book and converts your sheep at the best available rate.
Preferred currency
Because cross-asset payments are so simple with Stellar, users can keep their money in whatever asset they prefer to hold. Preferred currency creates a very flexible, open system.
Imagine a world where, any time you travel, you never have to exchange currency except at the point of sale. A world where you can choose to keep all your assets in, for example, Google stock, cashing out small amounts as you need to pay for things. Cross-asset payments make this world possible

That sounds pretty awesome.
You've been pumping XLM hard. I like your enthusiasm about it.

people keep saying things like "Ripple can't get that big, because then they would have a financial cap higher than X, Y, and Z" - but as we have learned this week, this market is becoming impossible to gauge... could it actually be possible for XLM to reach the 100s by becoming a big part of the wallet market, speculations, etc.?
I'm just thinking long term... not some $5 goal here (though I would be super happy about $5)

Any DEX/XLM project worth a closer look.
I’d say 0x would be the real exchange killer. As for coinbase, the 0x and Coinbase teams apparently work together, and Coinbase execs are angel investors, advisors in/to 0x. You might even see ZRX on Coinbase in the next year.
Anyway, thanks for sharing, you may want to check out this article w/ an overview of potential competitors in that space.

I’ve got a goal. When I hit it I’m done, and I go back to stocks or maybe get involved in real estate.
I think XLM provides the best opportunity for me. Lumens are useful. This new exchange could propel XLM by necessity.
I like holding sure things, and at this point in crypto this is as close as I think I’ll get.
The humanitarian aspect of Stellar is hard to deny as well. We’re talking about eliminating absurd Western Union fees for good...rendering that dinosaur obsolete. Stellar hopes to become a currency for the unbanked. The SJW’s should be all over that.

And I’m not saying I’ll sell at $5 but damn I’d be tempted. We’ll just have to see what it’s like when and if that happens

I was already thinking of selling off my gains from FUN ( bought at .05) and purchase XLM. It took a dip and just sitting there at .72
Interesting information, definitely worth buying.
I've learned in a very short time that no one, No One, knows what this market or particular coin will do. Who saw TRX hitting +500% in 48 hours?

XLM, NEO and XRB are the future. I am loaded up on all three.
All these junks coins are relying on nothing but hype. There will be a huge consolidation that hits, and only a handful of coins will survive.

I wouldn't get out of FUN now. They seem to be one of the more organized organizations with legit plans and have already made moves. I think once their online casino goes live and starts making them rich, people will flock to buy in to be able to develop their own casinos.

Junuary? January? June? Somewhere in between???

COSS Not a coinbase killer but at 34 million market cap, It's definitely something to consider. Compared to BNB's billion dollar and KuCoin's 700K marketcap
Undergoing some maintenance issues currently for new UI next week. Good developers. low supply, meets regulation, planning for fiat gateways and earn weekly dividends on ALL listed coin.
New Interface that is planned to launch next week:

With all of the popular exchanges not accepting new accounts or not offering more than BTC, LTC, Eth, where is one able to buy FUN, Stellar, or Eth Lend???
Posted on 1/5/18 at 7:30 pm to catfish 62
Kucoin??
It’s obvious that if FairX is patient and produces a usable product from the start there will be no limit for them nor Stellar due to its association with the exchange.
I hope they’ve studied the other exchanges heavily.

Yeah they’ll be here, but it’s better to buy them at 60 cents than $3. That’s what I meant, and most people understand.
But anyway, thanks for actively highjacking a thread to put down one coin and pump another.
Congrats on your bitterness and fear.
People are well aware of TRX here. There are threads devoted to it. You don’t see me shilling the more useful XLM in that thread...Good bye
